The road so far was that at the very beginning of the project, I decided to get the dwarves as cheap as possible to the possible costumers. That's why I offer them at casting cost level and to do this, I contacted with Kraken Minis, a sculpter and caster located near Barcelona.
He is the person in charge of casting dwarves and centaurs. To also reduce the cost margins, he agreed in do so but giving no priority to this project. The first agreement estimate the cast end on July/August and the release of the team in September.
During this time, I have contact with Ricard (the person in charge of Kraken) and the casting end was delayed three times. In the mean, they changed the casting and production strategy being Ricard's brother the one in charge of casting now, letting Ricard free to sculpt Kraken minis. This was an issue that certainly delayed the casting for one month at least.
They assure that in no more than 2 weeks the miniatures will be ready, I would package them ASAP and ask for payment. I honestly couldn't argue about this, because is mainly thanks to Ricard's work that you will get 14 miniatures at 36€. And I couldn't make the process faster until I physically have the metal figurines in my hands (Let's see if two weeks more are enough finally).
BTW. I already have the hobgoblins ready at home. And I did see the pics of the dwarves casting (some are ready, but they need to accomplish the total numbers of the ordering). I am really sorry of this huge delay in the release. I hope most of you could understand that working on this money margins make things lot more difficult than usual. We need to reduce costs in shipping (I will transport the minis myself from the company) service to GreenDog (the casting time margins) from the casters... but we wouldn't reduce quality of final product at all, and that's why we needed to be patience. The casting costs for this particular project and from Kraken are more a favor than a business. I've just tried to be confident with them and inform you of the progress of everything in real time. I am right now still in the middle of this release and (honestly) very impatient to finally make it real. They are doing a very kind work with our molds and they are also excellent in mauintaining the fine details of the minis, so I am confident that the final product will pay for all this pain.
I hope this will clarify your concerns. I just could apologize and hope it will end soon. Believe me, I am more nervous than all you sum.
Cool, I'm happy to wait as the greens for these dwarves are awesome glad to hear they're slowly but surely coming together as a finished project. Could I also get a team of Thalassains on top of the pre ordered dwarves?
Sure. We are offering them with a very sexy price of 70€ each complete team until the end of the Year. If you order more than one team (no matter Ratmen or Thalassian combination) you will save extra money as follows:
Ordering one team - 70€
Ordering two teams - 65€ each
Ordering three teams - 60€ each
Ordering five teams - 50€ each
Ordering eight teams - 45€ each
Ordering ten teams - 40€ each
About the Dwarves... They are coming for sure! As said I already have the Hobbos at home:
We always do our best in designing and sculpting what we consider original miniatures. It is very encouraging to get positive feedback. Illusion on continue working on modeling is build on such these support.
Theoretically, last models are coming out from the casting molds. That's what I notice yesterday.
The good news is that probably their release will coincide with the Minotaur green...
I hope you'll like the mino. His concept is to be more a "possesed" dwarf more than a proper Minotaur.
As the background for the Besmirch dwarves is to be dwarves that were cursed or contaminated in some way by dark powers, I realized that probably will be better to have an homogeneus fashion in dwarves, centaurs and mino.
I hope in few days I could show you the green pics.

That's great to hear about the Minotaur, I too picture the chaos dwarf Minotaur to look like a massive dwarf deity kind of like the skaven vermin lord. Anyways that's good news on the minis.
These are by far tied for 1st on my most anticipated teams list
Yes, I should apologize. I talked with ZRykar (the owner of Kraken miniatures) who is the friend in charge of the dwarves casting. Kraken have a small casting facility and they support the project giving me very good casting conditions to offer you the cheapest trade. Unfortunately, as I told you, they gave priority to their own releases (absolutely logical, indeed) and that's why the casting was delayed many times.
On top of that, they have lots of problems (financial, technical, personal) and two days ago they told me probably will close the company. This is certainly unfortunate, because Ricard truly loves this game. That's why I push myself to sculpt the minotaur ASAP, to give them a good trade for a new casting, trying to help them.
Surely this is not interesting for you as customers, but I would inform you about the whole process. Usually GreenDog Figurines releases are quite fast once I finish the sculpts, but this time was my fault just because I tried to get the lowest casting cost to reduce the selling costs.
This will be true just for the release of the first 30-40 teams, because if Kraken finally fail in to continue the production, we need to go back to our regular casting company, wich increases these costs and the minimum amount of miniatures per cast.
Bottom line. I hope finally soon you could enjoy this miniatures, I am particularly proud about how GreenDog provide an alternative view of fantasy football, taking distance from what GW did (which is not easy, as you even unconsciusly follow this canon). And this Besmirch dwarves team is somehow a goal in this long way that started with the Ratmen, and continue with the Thalassians.
On the other hand, I hope in few weeks I could present you some extra range of miniatures. I am already sculpting the long time demanded Shadow Elves, and one surprise for the Khemri players that hope will enjoy.
Foe who doesn't know yet, I am formely a Molecular Biologist. The previous 7 years I spent my day by day time in finishing my PhD and one Post-Doc in cancer research, and that's because the GreenDog releases were not so common. One month ago I ended my last project and I am actually looking for a new position. In the mean time, I hope I could provide you at least one fantasy football team more (the Shadow Elves), some spare miniatures to complete your teams, and maybe one surprise or two. I am commited to make this work gap as better I could for GreenDog range and players desires.
First of all, I would say Kraken is doing a superb job. They produce the minis in a very artesan way, that allow them for example to produce the centaurs in one single model instead of in pieces.
Second, the level of detail is extreme. As they only use one mold, they do not lose any detail between master and production molds.
Third. I hope they accomplish the number of miniatures soon, so I hope you will get them in february.
