It's the avatars of war corrupters of apocalypse command group. Now back to moving stuff around upstairs. I'm actually getting some work done!

Some new pictures taken with a new background from Hangar 18. Granted, some of the miniatures are still out of focus, which means I'll have to back up a bit before taking the picture. Some are a bit overexposed. But the background is really nice, just wanted to try it out.

I would agree. They're listed in the order I painted them, more or less (necro being the first team ever (it's a dipped team actually, minus the mummies which came later), then the skaven, ogres the 3rd... There's actually wood elf team in between there, but it's not worth taking pictures of). The underworld team will be my fifth, and I think you can definitely see a clear line of progression in painting methods. Unfortunately this also translates into time spent on the miniatures

edit: And by that I mean, I somehow have to try to make them look better all the time. And I really don't have the time for that usually. It's a vicious cycle. I'll probably have to stop painting altogether eventually, before things get out of hand

Decided to go overboard on the whole goblin/crab/mechanical stuff, so here you go... Very much work in progress.

Still loads of work to do on the legs to make them look more natural. Maybe add a ball on the other thrower as well.

The next thing on the list are the skaven lineman. Since I've already replaced the blitzers and the throwers with goblins, there are a few alternatives. I could go the route of actual skaven (lab rats) on the linemen. In which case my best bets would be the willy skaven and the upcoming dragon bowl gutter runner. Other choice would be to wait for the cloaked black scorpion skaven.

Or I could do something else. But not much makes sense. The blitzers scavenged the claws and the armor, the throwers scavenged the legs (and both of these are somewhat plausible, for armor, speed etc.). .. What's left, heads? Goblins with crab helmets don't sound too good.

Managed to finish the linegoblins for the underworld team. Will probably go through the bottoms of the ropes with some mud pigments later on. The sun wasn't co-operating with me, so the pictures are a little washed out Any ideas on the skaven linemen?
