Re: Black Scorpion Ratmen & Elf Teams
I think the teams look quite nice, the skaven team is not what I have in mind for rats, as JT-Y has said they look like rats humanized and I have always think of skaven as humans with rat characteristics, nonetheless they seem pretty good miniatures.
What I really like of Black Scorpion miniatures is the Treeman. I'll though of buying it.

Your English is ten times better than my Spanish I just was not sure I had this figured out correctly so I thought I would ask.

Re: Black Scorpion Ratmen & Elf Teams
regardless of the nay-sayers, I really like these Elf Sculpts. I have been looking for a High elf team for a long time now, and I was looking at the gaspez line (their price was a bit higher than I wanted) but I'm really enjoying the detail, armor, and overall look of these models.
I'll probably either cut off the mowhawks and sculpt them bald, or REALLY play up the mowhawss and bedazzle them with glitter, a red hot paintjob, and even some faux jewels.
But... I went to the site and in their fantasy football like I could only find humans and orcs... am I missing something?

Their website home page gives the Vermin a June release date, and July for the elves.

Yes, June release for the rats, July for the elfs.
I only got my rats because I went to the Sheffield Triples trade show and they are selling the new stuff at shows.

1) Any chance you could take a couple at better angles, please? Would be very useful, I'm tempted to entertain the idea of these for underworld but I'm not yet fully convinced.JT-Y wrote:I picked up shaven, I can wait for pelves, I have enough teams.
Must say, in the flesh these models are spot on, the pictures don't do them justice at all.
2) "Shaven"? Huh.

Re: Black Scorpion Ratmen & Elf Teams
Now I can't sculpt a turd so I really shouldn't talk, but hey this is the internet so I'm gonna. I really don't like how all the rats look like they have weapon snip jobs and I'm sure hands must be difficult to sculpt, but these elves really seem to make me *notice* that they all have clenched fists. I think it's because unlike the "put up your dukes" pose of most GW 3rd ed BB figures some of these guys have arms positioned in ways that seem a lot more relaxed and an open hand would look more natural on the end of them. The thrower in particular.
That said, they are very nice and the Skaven I would consider (heck most my teams are weapon snips anyway). In fact in the interest of fairness they are a lovely fresh take on rat men and I may even be moved to purchase these in future.

Shaven, it's just one of the ex-staff names for armies that we didn't use in front of customers.
I'll try and get a couple of pics up shortly.
