Why would you make a team with 4 linos and 2 blitzers as a package? Beggars belief. ????

I was looking at the whole range on Comixininos earlier, and there appear to be 4 blorks, 2 throwers, 2 blitzers, and 12 lino's.

Why ????
Did someone stutter when giving the sculptor the brief ????

presumably, like many other unofficial minis for the game, the sculptor doesn't actually play BB himself... :-?

I really like the minis, especially the variety of sculpts. The Goblins look really nice too. That said, Franarcilla is probably my equal favourite BB sculptor (Pedro Ramos being the other one).

However, I also don't get why there are 4 different Black Orc sculpts, 10 different Linemen sculpts (2 overlap with the Throwers), but only 2 different Blitzer sculpts. If anything you would change 2 of those Linemen sculpts over to Blitzers. Most teams are only going to have a couple of Linemen on the field at any one time, whereas you always want 4 Blitzers where you can. Not including 4 Blitzers in the starting 12 player team is odd too.

The price is getting towards the high end. 70 Euros for a team of 12 players, 86 Euros to get a team of 14 minis with full positionals. Add in a bit more if you want a Troll, Goblins or additional Linemen. It's not beyond what I'd be prepared to pay, but it is definitely pricey compared to some other BB minis. Still, I guess that's the price you pay to have minis sculpted by awesome sculptors like Franarcilla or Pedro Ramos.

Are they going to be sold individually? I already own this team and would love to fill out the remaining positionals. It's a pity the didn't make 2 other blitzers.

I like these minis individually, but collectively I can't tell what is what.

Individual players are available to buy on Comixininos. Shipping to Australia is generally pretty pricey though.

They're a nice enough team. You could always try finding the two most dynamic lino poses, and "blitzer" them up a bit from your bits box I guess, then coloured bases to differentiate.

I dont know if franarcilla plays blood bowl or not but I would guess that he does as he has gotten all his other teams correct. I dont think he sculpted 12 diffrent lineorks as the lineorks/throwers have 4 diffrent bodies and 3 diffrent heads, (ie 12 diffrent lineorks). See: http://img.webme.com/pic/f/franarcilla/tyui.jpg He just sculpted 4 diffrent bodies and then 3 heads for variation.

I find this team decidedly mediochre. :-?

It's nice everyone and their Snotling is producing Blood Bowl mini's nowadays, even more so now GW has left the building, but i see little need for yet another Orc team that is oh so similar to all the other Orc teams out there. Be original, or be not at all is my opinion.

So did you get multi part miniatures the first time? The first time it was released (by Franarcilla, directly), the greens were split, but no idea if they were sold as single or multi (probably multi, as you can see in the image linked by Lard, they have codes for body / arm / head), or if Meiko (re-)release is same models or with small changes, like making them single part.

Yea I got the multi part ones he released first time round and the lineup was 2 blitzers, 2 lineorcs(now they're BoBs), 2 BoBs, 2 goblins and a troll.

I added the Willy Orc Thrower(sculpted by Franarcillo I think) and the skinny Neomics thrower to finish it off for an 11 man side.

These have already been out for a couple years, and their size and chunkiness set them apart when first released. I will say that they haven't aged all that well, though.

Hi everybody, thanks for your feedback. Please leave positive feedback or constructive negative feedback, what you think it fits the best for these Meiko Orcs. We encourage all of you to let us know how you think.

Regarding the composition of the Team, you're totally right. An Orc Team NEEDS 4 Blitzers. That's why Meiko Miniatures will release very soon Blitzers nº 3 and nº 4, also sculpted by Franarcilla. These 2 Blitzers were not originally made by Franarcilla on his Orc Team, but Meiko Miniatures asked him to sculpt these 2 new Blitzers, in order to complete his original Orc Team.

This is the new Blitzer nº 3, will be available on June 2013 only on Comixininos:

Image

This first Meiko Orc Team we released is just one of the 2 or probably 3 Meiko Orc Teams that will be available in the near future. Yes, it only has 2 Blitzers, but Blitzers nº 3 and nº 4 will be able to be purchased individually when they will be released. This first Orc Team is just the option we wanted to give to our customers to be able to get a Meiko Orc Team, not only individual Meiko Orcs. In other words, we didn't want to wait for the Orc Blitzers nº 3 and 4 in order to release the first Orc Team (please remember that more Orc Teams will be released in the near future, and that these teams will include Blitzers 3 and 4). Also, the retail price of this first Meiko Orc Team has a 5 EUR discount over the regular retail price of the Meiko Teams.

All the Meiko Orc players included in the Team can be purchased individually. Also, there are several Meiko Orc players not included in the Meiko Orc Team that are already available only on Comixininos. For example: Orc Linemen nº 2, 4, 5, 7, 10 and 11, which are not included in the team.

The Meiko Orcs are supplied exactly the same way as the original Franarcilla Orcs. That means that the minis that were originally multicomponent, are also multicomponent now.

The retail prices of Meiko Miniatures are very similar to the Willy Miniatures ones. Also, all the Meiko Miniatures are sculpted by the same sculptors (Franarcilla, Pedro Ramos, Ru-Mor...) than the Willy Miniatures minis.

In my personal opinion, there's always a place in the market for an Orc Team sculpted by Franarcilla. This team was discontinued and out of production and thanks to Meiko Miniatures is available again, and will be completed with the missing Blitzers 3 and 4. :D :D :D

I seize the opportunity to show you the new Meiko Team: a super-cool Goblin Team of 12 players... including 2 Trolls!!!
