Back to business... this time with dugouts. Long time I have wanted to make a BB-field and dugouts. The field I already have, but the dugouts are still lacking... but not for long :)

Looking great - what are you using for the timber palings? Coffee stirrers?

One year passed without a single painted miniature... but things have changed and new team has seen the light :) I desided, that it is time for me to get my first tier 1 team, the Dark Elves!!!

I started painting that team already 3 years ago when I did one prototype lineman. Now it was a ”great fun” figuring out what paints I used then :D Luckily I found an old note, where I had written the color mixes for couple of the main colors I used. #14 is the old prototype and #2 and #13 are the new ones. I think the colors are pretty close to each other. Now I only need to paint 13 more... arghh :-?

The idea behind the color scheme is water. I want the dark elves look like they live deep under ground... in the abyss :) (the abyss is also a place in the Naggaroth)

What do you think of these?

I really like these. The newer models look slightly brighter than the test (maybe fade with age?) which I like

Yeah, the new ones are maybe a little bit brighter, but in live you don't see the difference as well as in photos. It is also possible, that the colors fade a bit in time...

Nice to hear, that the color scheme works :)

I really like the colours you used; what are they exactly, what brands, what mixes?
