Apparently there's another kickstarter going on: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/169 ... dwarf-team

Personally not a fan of the Team but that roller looks quite interesting.

Re: Metal Beards
I hate all of them, but then maybe the so-called steampunk genre isn't for me.

Lovin' the unique look of them. Would be nicer if there were more races with such unique designs but it should be fun to paint up either way

I like Steampunk, I like Titan Forge, I don't mind Dwarfs.
I don't like these.
To much "robot", not enough Steampunk. If the players had been more like the coach they'd have been better IMO.
The Grinder is interesting though it looks huge.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Why don't manufacturers focus on teams not done so frequently? So many dwarves out there! But I'll get the death roller and maybe a couple of blitzes to use with my black scorpion team.

Agreed. I like the Grinder enough to pledge for it, but the others are too robotic, not steampunk really.Darkson wrote:I like Steampunk, I like Titan Forge, I don't mind Dwarfs.

Re: Metal Beards
Another +1. Robots =/= steampunk - the coach has great promise, and I'd have been interested in a team in that style. The other players are too similar and too robotic for my tastes.Darkson wrote:I like Steampunk, I like Titan Forge, I don't mind Dwarfs.

Re: Metal Beards
If only they had made them actual dwarfs like the 1st guy, rather than robots with silly blocky heads.
I've been wanting someone to produce well sculpted modular Bloodbowl players for years. These are exactly what I had in mind with separate but inter-changeable bodies, heads, arms, hands and shoulder pads.
But with them being robots there is little scope for using those bits on other models bar maybe the shoulder pads.
I love the pose of the blockers too and would like to see more models looking like that.

It's the best death roller I've seen so far ! It's truly an outstanding sculpt.
If the whole team was designed like the engineer it was the perfect dwarves team for me.

Re: Metal Beards
Obviously in the minority, but I quite like them. It's nice to see someone doing something new and unique, something we bemoan others for not doing and then promptly gripe about when someone does. Only question is, do I really need a 4th dwarf team....
