Playing practice games with this team

As can be seen the Thrower Hague has just skilled up. I was going to give him kick to give him a use on both sides of the ball but he scored 10 in the improvement roll. AV is not happening but
Mv (Mv8 is always good)
Big hand to pick up in a scrum
Kick (still my preferred option)
OR something else?

Kick on a Thrower is a waste in my opinion. Give it to the first linerat that skills up.

See Linerats are there to be kicked, The thrower is likely to be out of the scrum more and so more likely to survive. This is my reasoning.

Use the kicker linerat as substitute when not kicking. Give him block if he skills up again for survivability.Heff wrote:See Linerats are there to be kicked, The thrower is likely to be out of the scrum more and so more likely to survive. This is my reasoning.
The thrower has so many interesting options, especially with a double 5 roll. I'd say dodge, extra arms, MV, or even strong arm. Which to chose depends on your style of play, though. Dodge would probably be my personal choice.

Big hand suits gutter runners better as they have the agility to run into and out of a scrum. Extra arms is handy for picking the ball up as well as high kick and sneaky passing plays.
Don't discount the extra movement though as any player with MA8 is a pain for the opposition.

To me, in order:
+1mv
Extra arms*
Dodge
*two months ago failed 10 pickup roll in a row. Still pretty scarred, so maybe my opinion is biased...

I wouldn't count out the +AV.
but since you don't like it here are my thoughts:
+1MV
Accurate
Multi-arm
Good luck.

Percentage wise (and discounting Tackle), Dodge gives you a better chance of surviving a block than bringing you AV from 7 to 8. Plus it helps to get away from your opponent, of course.Winged_Human wrote:I wouldn't count out the +AV

Ignored you all and went with strong arm. Standard thrower double but boring.
