Wow Fassbinder - the skin on the big guys is particularly good! Super crisp. How did you get the ogre and troll to look so good? The blue ogre could even double as a snow troll in a pinch.

Re: Show Us Yer Teams!
He took ages! One of the aims of painting this team was to get over the hump of painting big guys. The "mistake" I made was using a too small brush for the Ogre - it must have taken eight to ten hours to finish that skin, I spent so long looking at that blue hide of his I could probably draw him from memory autistic-savant style.Lunchab1es wrote:Wow Fassbinder - the skin on the big guys is particularly good! The Troll was much quicker, I probably finished the skin in about 2 hours all up and I prefer the result. I used a bigger brush and I'd gotten the hang of the wet palette by then.
At the risk of too much information, the Troll's skin is:
a mix of Hormagaunt purple + Xereus Purple (both GW) with Vallejo fluorescent Magenta & Squid pink added and layered gradually. The final highlights are pretty much pink.

Cheers for the Info! The troll is an absolute triumph. Smooth as honey. Great job:)Fassbinder75 wrote:He took ages! The rest of the team are beautiful too, as mentioned the white on Goreblade and the blue on the Ogre look top. Very inspiring!

Wow, that's the best conversion of the old plastic human team I've ever seen. I really like how the Wights and the skeletal catcher turned out.

Could you upload a higher resolution image? This one is way too small to see anything.MyKi#1 wrote:Here's my most recent finished team U.C Sartosa 2420. The models are Willy Miniatures chaos team.

Some amazing teams in this thread, I cannot paint but I can appreciate the time and skill other folks have put into these conversions and paint jobs.
