Spikeball - I have generally found that the Minotard is not worth his TV on the CD team. I find that the team has a nice lean TV without him.

Another consideration in practical play is that I find myself blitzing a lot with the bulls, especially once they have Break Tackle. This leaves the 'Tard as something of an orphan, I think he needs to be the primary blitzer on any team which takes him.

The main benefit of the 'Tard is to keep the opponent's defense honest, but this effect rarely lasts longer than one turn.

Hope that helps.

I like the minotaur for a big smashing monster and has frenzy.

Remember those elves have move 8 on their catchers. That is getting into the rank 5 they can score.

Go deep enough to make them think they will need to work out how to get this to the end zone.

If in doubt smack a catcher, blitz a catcher, removing these guys will slow them down a bit. Then usual attrition should happen.

Break Tackle and Block on Bulls, Guard on normals for the first couple Dwarfs, then MB. Claw on doubles. One Hob with SH first so elves won't strip you, the others either Wrestle or Dirty Player (Guard on doubles).

What (I think) Smeborg is saying is that, with a Frenzy player, the opponent should be careful to not put any players near the sideline, else you can surf him in the crowd.
(Spikeball is new here, and some shorthands can be a bit obscure sometimes  )

The main benefit of the 'Tard is the forlorn hope that either your opponent will waste energy on him, or that they won't and he'll get lucky and break them down. But the critter's real raison d'être is to say "haaa-haaa! I can beat you with tons of dead TV!" and every once in awhile do something cool rather than just burning turns and hurting himself.

Spikeball - another consideration with the Minotard is that if you do not take one on the roster, this still leaves you the option of taking one as an inducement, should the opportunity present. A mercenary Minotard with one skill (say Juggernaut) costs 230,000.

And Merc Big Guys have the same Loner as rostered ones, unlike other Mercs.

Tactics against HE's? Grind em down! Beat the living day lights out the scum! Against Orcs I think you have more of a problem personally. I think I would try a loose cage, get some Hobbos upfield and either hand off with a BC or throw with a caged Hobbo. Don't try fighting Orcs they are arguably the toughest team in BB certainly early on.

Thank you everyone for the advice.
First game will be against high elves with higher tv
I was thinking to get Zzargh Madeye as star player
with the inducements, what do you think? All in all it's a
7th str 4 tackle on the board even if for just 1 drive
