Skaven

Post by Gimpen »

So.... I've sculpted a skaven gutterrunner as a prototype for a skaven team, and I'm going for a more evil, sneaky look on the rats since I find the avaliable models not quite as evil as I want them.

What do you say? Is this a look you'd go for or is it not "skaven" enough?

Really nice mini, and certainly a different and more 'evil' look than other manufacturers. A team of these will look amazing!

Only criticism is the proportion of the head seems a little off. Maybe just the pictures though?

Interesting figure, great looking and different concept. I'd make the head smaller and just bulk out the arm musculature a touch (a bit skeletal for my taste). Looking forward to seeing the next sculpts!

Sorry, more giant rat and not enough rat-man for me.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I like the sculpt (couldn't achieve that myself) but have a couple criticisms: (1) there's nothing sculpted on the figure to represent it as a Blood Bowl player. No helmet or protective gear. Nothing that says this figure is playing a sports game. (2) between the bandages, the torn clothing and the skinny nature of the figure, it almost looks like an *undead* rat-man. Not saying that's a bad thing, just an observation.

You've definitely got the skills, though, so don't let my 2 cents stop you from sculpting the rest of the team! :)

Awesome - I have rats but id prob buy a set..... But..... as per previous comments need some bloodbowl gear.
Im also not a fan of figures that extend beyond the range of the base - hard to fit them all on pitch especially when prone. I dont mind a couple here and there but a whole squad like this would put doubts in my mind.
