Minotaur rolls double again
So this Minotaur on my CD team just got his 2nd double, he has claw, but what to do now? On one hand I whant to keep him alive (block or Dodge) but I also want him to cause even more mayhem and broken dreams (legs) so Tackle, Tentackles, Pro or Jump up would also be nice

Block is safe and smart, unless you are sure that you will go the dodge/break tackle route....

Well he has Juggernaut, Piling On, Claw, Stand Firm
Shame he got juggs...
What is the rest of the league like? Tackle heavy? Do people normally attack him? Do most of your targets have dodge? No desire for break tackle? Surely the rest of the team does dodge...

Juggernaut + block is a wonderful combo on a big guy. Just blitz that wrestle guy, use jug to nullify wrestle and then choose the both down result. Smile and nod when your opponent says "you can do that?"

This combination is wonderful on any player built to remove players, especially since Juggernaut counters to major issues a bash team will often encounter: Stand Firm and Wrestle, now it could be argued that Juggernaut less effective because it only works when blitzing but seriously how often do you blitz with a player other than your designated killer?duckwing wrote:Juggernaut + block is a wonderful combo on a big guy. Jugs on your killer player also makes it more likely that you will blitz with him, as you can use him to remove road blocks when the situation demands. The main worry in this case is rolling 1 for Wild Animal.crimsonsun wrote:This combination is wonderful on any player built to remove players, especially since Juggernaut counters to major issues a bash team will often encounter: Stand Firm and Wrestle, now it could be argued that Juggernaut less effective because it only works when blitzing but seriously how often do you blitz with a player other than your designated killer?duckwing wrote:Juggernaut + block is a wonderful combo on a big guy. All the best.

Without a doubt 'block.' Anyone that tells you otherwise is coo-coo-bananas.
That being said, I think you should retire him for bloat.....mainly just because I'm jealous that I don't get lucky enough to have Big Guys like that.

Block, duh. Take down more guys, end fewer turns. Juggernaut is no reason not to take Block, for the combo reasons expressed above, and because you often want to blitz with someone else and can now get this guy stuck in.

No love for pro here.
That minotaur is super offensive in his build, get pro and use him!

Not keen on Pro on this guy. Great killer, sure, but Chaos Dwarves got more reliable blitzers to use for key actions.
With Block the Mino becomes a good blocker too, and with Block, Stand Firm & Claw he's terrific for BOB and such, that cannot push him away nor dodge away reliably.

Re: Minotaur rolls double again
I voted block, but it might depend on who you have the most trouble with/who else is in your league.
If you struggle against caging teams (especially dwarves) then dodge then BT could be an option for cage-breaking (rerollable 3+ dodges into a standard cage!) - he's almost as survivable (a strong player is more likely to have block than tackle, so he isn't as survivable when blocked imo and I think AV8 big guys are a bit easy to take out).
Tentacles might be an option against weaker teams and I would consider it if the elven/skaven teams in your league generally go block rather than wrestle (as then your jugger/block combo isn't as potent).
But although those two options might be nice and situationally might not terrible options, it really is difficult to go against block, he would be an awesome big guy killer with claw, block and horns (and frenzy).

No love for Pass Block either...

Forget the pass, just give him block. And a personal apothecary 'Dr. Snuggles'.
