Chaos Question

Post by swilhelm73 »

I'm starting a new season with my Chaos team:

http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.We ... 91&lang=en

and I have a regular skill up pending on my block/MB beastman.

Normally I would take Claw, but I ended up in a division with the following teams (which I mostly play in this order):

Elf
Amazon
Gob
Necro
Human

So claw will be useless against two of the teams. The Goblin team does have some nice trolls. The humans have an av10 Ogre. This has me leaning towards tackle instead as there will be a number of dodgy targets and I do have claw on the ST6 mino. I do have one other player with tackle. Thoughts?

Chaos Question

I would still take claw. While tackle will give you wider knock down options (and devastating to AV7/Dodge players), claw will help you casualty or at least remove the St5 pieces (with assists during the block/blitz), the St4 Flesh Golems, and all the Wights, Humans, and Zombies.

You still can smash the weak armor teams well. With Horns, you should be able to still 2 die blitz most goblins, amazons, and elves. Since you have block, you should target dodge players without block to improve your chances of knock down. If you hit a dodge player without block in this manner, it's is the same odds of knocking down block/dodge players if you had tackle. The difference is that all teams will fear this beastman now instead of just the ones with weak armor.

I would go the other way and say take the Tackle, you have enough high Str/high Av pieces to tie up the heavy hitters allowing you to smash through the backfield with your Block/MB/Tackle.

As if it goes wrong you've possibly got your nice MB beastman getting smashed in the face by something big. Be a bully pick on the little guys, the big ones are not going to be the ones carrying the ball into the endzone. Tackle FTW.

Tackle if you don't sack the Mino.

Tackle. Every one of those teams carries AV7 Dodge players, so you want two TPOMBers as fast as possible.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I'd go tackle as well. It's very frustrating to have those players dodge away from your good hitter (MB! Block!). Tackle gets them down.
Be a bully! :D Hit the small guys. Let the rest of your team worry about the bigger threats. The Mino seems to be a good answer to some of those... problems.

FEND....because that AV10 ogre is going piling on before your chaos gets a whiff of the main league
