No hands and a ball and chain and deathroller.

Post by icepelt »

Now, here's the deal, a ball and chain has no hands and a ball and chain, and the death roller driver has no hands and continues to drive the death roller, what's up with that?

No hands mean there are no hands available to handle the ball.

The Death Roller Driver doesn't have "No hands".
The Death Roller does.

The Death Roller Driver is not the player.
The Death Roller is.

This and what Galak said.

No Hands is the skill name, but it represents all cases in which there is no ball handling capability: because there are no physical hands, or the hands are busy, or the hands are incapable of working as ball-handling hands ,or too dumb to understand what to do with the ball, or...

People need to practice abstraction skills. Exercise with Pogoer, which has Very Long Legs skill being a normal goblin and a stick with spring (weird miniatures aside).

or read the rule book? "The player is unable to pick up, intercept or carry the ball and will fail any catch roll automatically, either because he literally has no hands or because his hands are full." No lateral thinking required just the ability to read.

Someone designs a team with some kind of acid or goo monsters. They have hands... but useless. So they get No Hands skill. The unable to have lateral thinking starts again one thread like this.

It's the same with other skills, people get stuck with the name and not the on pitch effects. Worse, some even design new skills or new names for old skills... due to the lack of lateral thinking.

Or maybe we should stop bitting the troll posts. :|
