Is there a definitive book or guide for painting mini's?

I'm looking for some sort of guide for painting techniques... Kind of like the old Citadel book on how to paint Warhammer minis... Just looking for new tips for getting back into painting

I would strongly recommend the cool mini or not painting guide. The book is more or less a printed version of the best of the tutorials found on their website, but it is still fantastic.

I really liked the Foundry Miniatures Painting and Modelling Guide - mainly as I really like the layering style of painting as it's about as complex as I can be bothered to paint minis.

I'd second tbe Foundry book. Kev Dallimore explains things well.

It is also the only painting guide that will tell when and how to use a lump hammer.
