Dark Elves for NAFC

Hi all, the NAFC looms in May & I'll be using Dark Elves.

For 1.1 million gc I plan to take:

4 Blitzers
2 Witch Elves
1 Runner
3 Linemen
2 re-rolls

For the remaining 90k I could go for either a 4th lineman & 2 cheerleader, or an assassin.

I realise assassins are fairly useless, but is the stab potential worth trading the higher AV and random benefits of the cheerleaders (I keep having visions of dead wardancers from a successful stab!).

Any thoughts either way are welcome

so only way to get assasain in is to upgrade a lino, for 20k, then maybe apo?

Runners are indeed 80K.

The Assassin is pretty useless apart from the odd game. The only good thing about him in my experience is that many opponents overtarget him because of the lower AV7. This can keep your better players alive. I have on occasion walked my Assassin to one side of the pitch, moved everyone else and the ball the other way and had my opponent chase the Assassin. So he has some uses. But not as many as the Coach/Cheerleader IMO.

So the assassin then - personal preference and potentially only any use as a deterrent...?
