Minotaur and hob advice

Post by Mhorr »

Hi everyone, played 5 game so far of a persistent league.
Actual TV 1540 with:

1 bc with block, about to take bt next skill up
1 dwarf with guard
1 dwarf with claw
4 dwarfs without skill
1 hobgoblin with sure hands
3 RR
1 Apo
Skilled this last game.
1 bc who got +1 AG
1 hobgoblin got +1 AG
1 hobgoblin who got + MA
1 mino who got juggernaut

Obviously got both the +1AG hands down even if with the bc was planning to go
With bt but after ag 3 prolly changed my mind ... What next? Maybe block?

Instead I'm not sure of the +1MA on the rookie hobgoblin maybe later would be a nice addiction but not sure right now..

Same about the mino: jugg helps with blitz and that's ok but maybe bt would be a better choice to blitz inside the cages and give him mobility, even stand firm would be a good choice for wide zones and to stop cages from moving.
But... So much indecision!!!
Also next game it's against Nurgle any tip against that team it appreciated :)

Juggs is a better choice then BT on the Mino, IMO.

If your opponent ties him up...well...that isn't all bad...and you have two other good blitzers.

Take the +AG on both players.

For the +MA hob, it is a tough call - it does make the two turn score more viable...but that is now what the +AG BT for.

I'd probably take dirty player since you don't have one yet. Also, now the SH Hob is a bit of a waste...use him aggressively :)

For Nurgle, it will be a defensive fest. Keep the ball carrier away from the Beast. Try to use your claw and DP to get a player advantage.

Thank you, I agree with your advice, but what do you think I should get respectively on +AG
Hob and BC next? Block and? Block on bc too or maybe sure hands? ?
Seems to me that Break tackle on the bull it's kinda a waste now or am I wrong ????
Maybe sure hands in hob and block on bc? I'' thinking on caging the hob then pass to ag (hopefully free) bull to score, could be a nice surprise for the opponent. :D

For the Ag boosted Centaur I would definitely go Block next if he doesn't have it, as much as a passive defensive skill as an offensive one. I would then add sure hands and make him my primary ball carrier. I prefer to use the centaurs for ball handling. If you get doubles, dodge is a no brainer in my opinion.

As far as the AG boosted Hobo goes it really depends on how you want to use him. Sure hands is nice if you want him to carry the ball and block will help him stay alive. Obviously if he rolls doubles I would look at Dodge or a passing skill (If you want to go that route)

Even with all of the Ag boosts this teams is till about ball control on offense and field control on defense while trying to hurt your opponent as much as possible. I would not completely change my team build or philosophy. Yes you have an AG 4 player but he is Str 3 AV 7 with no real defensive skills so he may not be around long.

Just my two cents
