lizardman colours?

Ive just put together a Lizardman team and looking to start painting it tonight. The problem im having is what colour to do them? I dont want to do them green or blue as this is to normal/common. I want something thats clashing and striking to the eye. Ive been think Black with yellow/orange/red scales or yellow/orange with black scales. Any other ideas?

I like the orange/black color scheme. I think that would be sharp.

If you want you could then go with white pads or something off the wall to really contrast the scale color.

You can use a color wheel to get the complementary or split complementary colors. For example the complementary color for orange is blue.

Orange skin with a black based, blue highlighted scales would give good contrast and still be complementary.
