3 new BB Chaos Warriors (from scratch) updated Mar 16, 2014

Hello guys!

Today I want to show you the three new models of Chaos Warrior that I have made to add to the one that I already posted around here:

I also intend to do a mutation kit that will include a couple of tentacle arms and crab like claws. That way making one claw it can be used in any of the arms right or left just cutting the hand and gluing the claw in its place.

I tried to make a tentacle without putting to much though in its position, just to see if I could do it. Below you can see what I have obtain.


Any comment or suggestion that will help me improve them will be greatly appreciated.

Love 'em! I really like how they look a little leaner and a little more mobile and athletic than the standard GW plastic Chaos Warriors or BB Chaos Warriors. No terribly keen on the fourth one because I keep thinking he should have Kick or Dirty Player, then I immediately think "but a chaos warrior shouldn't have that skill!"

I obtain some feed back for the Kicking Warrior and I probably change a little bit his position so it seems he is doing a circular kick or make a couple more arms to change the overall look of the miniature.

Also I'm adding some details to the body armour of the one that is throwing a punch, nothing to complicated just to give it some details because it was to "flat".

I'll keep you updated.

I'm glad. I'll love to see the mino painted.

I bring some photos with some changes in the kicking warrior. I'm changing the neck so the position of the head look to the front not to the sky. Also, after the feedback obtained in a Spanish forum I decided to show other possible positions of the arms and a combination with the arm of another of the warriors.

In the pictures below you can see, in the left side the warrior with the original position of the arms and the neck changed (I'm still working on the neck but that's the new position of the head). In the centre you can see the warrior with the arms position a little changed and in the right side you can see the warrior with the right arm of the Chaos Warrior blocking the way.




I also want to show you a better picture of the Chaos Warrior blocking the path.


And one showing in more detail his arms, mostly to show the chain even if is not a great job.


I'm also working in the crab like claw and them I will try to make a couple of tentacles similar to the one I've made but better though.

Yes I intend to sell them, bound for glory and a few other from this forum has already bought the first one, the other 3 will be available in one or two weeks, for the moment I sell resin homemade copies, as I the demand I had never had reach the minimum amount of miniatures that the casters impost me to buy.

UPDATES
I consider them really finished this time. I'm not going to add or change anything else to the basic miniatures. In the picture below you can see the 4 finished Chaos Warriors with the kicking one with his original arms but there would be no trouble changing them for any of the other arms. I've added some details to the back of the one that is throwing a punch. In the picture you can also see both sides of the crab claw finished.


I also add a few pictures for size comparison purposes. First one shows the minotaur that we made with the first warrior and a Warhammer Fantasy beastman Gor, the numbers on the right side represent millimeters. The next picture shows the four warriors the beastman and a human thrower that I made using a human of the free companies warhammer box. The last two are comparison of two warriors and the beastman.








Now It's time for me to make the molds and then I would start casting. I will keep you update.

Really nice, i will definitively get the 3 new CW with a couple extra arms (with and without the claws) if possible as i'm thinking about assembling them with magnets to have "customizable" minis according to choosen mutations

As they are cast in resins, this should work perfectly!

Thanks Ptchnk. I intend to do the claws separetly so if someone wants they could cut out any hand and glue the claw in its place. When I have the molds I'll contact you via PM to see what arms do you want to have twice.

A week ago or so I manage to finally do molds of the chaos warriors that worked, I have tried to do it a week earlier but didn't manage to obtain acceptable copies. To do the molds I had to change a few small details in the miniatures but nothing mayor.

Below you can see some pictures of the copies before I repair their deffects with some green stuff.




As you can see I sculpted two new tentacles. Below you can see how they look like attached to the miniatures (I provisionally hold them to the miniatures with Blu-Tack so I cannot garantee that those positions could be obtain without using a little bit of putty or Green Stuff)








I also provisonally place the claws in a couple of models using Blu-Tack




Finally z3bbe ask me if the mutations could be used in GW beastmen and the answer is maybe, there could be some interference with the horns and the soulderpads.


I will contact the ones that has show interest in them via PM soon.
