So, trying to get more game time in....

The format is "Iron Man": no rerolls can be bought... no stars... no wizards.... All other inducements available....

Talk about a pain in the undead arse!

I've played three games with Necros and finally one ONE! :P Good news is all the points have fallen on the positonals except one lucky cas by a zombie and a couple of skills have finally come my way (first and second games had a ghoul and then a werewolf MNG) One of the games I was playing 270k underdog to a skaven and at least kept in the game... sheesh! In this format Humans do get a boost (with all their personal rerolls) and third tier aren't as weak as one would think, especially Halflings, believe it or not! I finally won as a 100k overdog to a beginning Undead team (my only skill was an SH ghoul)....

Speaking of Halflings, my Vamps lost in a most unusual way: no, not blood lusting! In fact, I only had one vamp leave the field at an inconsequential time and only one KO of a thrall... the rest of the time the vamps were fine except for (un)lucky #13 who either dropped, fumbled, or missed a catch every bleeding time he touched the ball!!! AND!, he only needed ONE lousy POINT to get a skill.... Maybe next game... *sigh*....

Necropolis Night Stalkers
5 zombies (0,0,0,2,0 spp)
2 ghouls (one with sure hands)(0,13 spp)
2 wights (one just got Mighty Blow)(11, 4 spp)
2 golems (5,2 spp)
2 werewolves (one just got block)(5,6 spp)
4 FF
150k treasury
108 TV

Necropolis Night Wings
12 Thralls (one with wrestle)(0,2,0,7,5,0,3,2,0,0 spp)
4 Vamps (5,1,0,1 spp)
8 FF
80k Treasury
102 TV

Ain't it great what you can buy without "needing rerolls"?

Ha!, Those are incredible and could be the start of a "toxic" theme... along with the original Blitzhund from the Incursion game:

Got in two more games this weekend, one each with my necros and vampires.... Amazingly I not only beat my Nuffle's jinx, but I won both games by two Tds!

First game was a straight up match of the Necropolis Night Stalkers (sh ghoul, block werewolf, mib wight) vs an all beastman chaos team with four frenziers, a leader and a guard.... Despite his having two rerolls to my none, per half, I repeatedly turned him over and scored with were and ghoul.... Ghoul, were and golem advanced.... Team is now six rookie zeds, rookie ghoul, sh ghoul with a regular skill coming, mib wight, rookie wight, rookie golem, block golem, and two block weres....The burning question is whether to give my fetcher ghoul block, kor, or jump up....

Later about the vamp vs goblins....

A quick recap of the vamps: Gobs played down 150k and took 3 bribes, fielding (at one time or another) chainsaw, bomber and ball & chain.... I had four vamps and 12 thralls with just a wrestler.... Short story is that when you only blow three blood lust a game, it's gonna be a good day! All SWs were just a disaster for and to the greenies... no joy for them....

Update to this weekend:
The jinx is back with a vengeance!!!

First game, Vamps vs Ogres saw my team coughing up blood (6 cas against; THREE vamps who luckily all regenned!) which I guess distracted the fangboys since they rolled 1's at all the appropriately inappropriate times.... Saved the lone TD by apoth'ing a KO'd thrall to remain on the field and receive the bite.... *sheesh*.... On the other side, two thrown one turn scores (even though properly defensed) and a final third thrown score to end the game.... What a disaster... though no one was worse than MNG and the two Pro Vamps were semi-magical in keeping the game as close as it was.... One lone thrall added a second wrestler to the struggling team....

Necropolis Nightwings
11 Thralls 2,8,2,7,5,0,5,0,5,2,5 spp (2x wrestle)
5 Vamps 0,8,9,4,3 (2x Pro)
FF8
Apothecary
50k Treasury

Second game I almost don't want to talk about.... :pissed:

My Necros (100k underdogs) vs Megacheezidwarveness....
Having a few games in, the bearded fromage had extra-spammed block to their runners and DODGED like elves (their also broken cousins) to seemingly run circles around my players.... :?:
By turn two they had killed a zombie (no bigs) and never rolled double skulls or even a single skull unless it was on an occasional armor break.... On the other claw, I found a skull every other roll.... With all but two of my 8 specialist having block you'd think I might stand a chance... but NUFF NO!, the routine was fraught with peril for me and his dice (MY DICE!) rained 5's and 6's regularly for my opponent.... Even more frustrating, he killed my MiB wight (had to Igor the regenn :pissed: ) and then rolled a rock... which my +1 Fame failed to control (my 1, his 6... s.o.p. this game) and then he rolled 6+6 to kill my other wight!!! :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: End score an unbelievable 0-3....

And guess who Nuffin' got the MVP this game?! 90k and 9spp down the flippin' randomizer's toilet....

Even the last three dice thrown were 1's... believe it or not! A double for the remaining skill-less Flesh Golem (the only bright spot in the game, but a wasted double as Golems need block before anything) and a one for winnings.... A real dice-rape of a day....

Necropolis Night Stalkers
Zombies 0,0,0,4,0 spp
Ghouls 0,17 spp (SH + Block)
Wights 14,0 spp (MiB)
Golems 9,7 spp (Block/Block)
Weres 8,6 spp (Block/Block)
FF5
Treasury 100k

The team is coming along if I can just convince them to play up to their potential....

Revisiting my perpetual (?) quest to carry a complete Blood Bowl setup in/on a standard Ultra Pro mini/card bag....

The original goal was to carry three undead teams and supporting equipment.... Necro, Undead and Khemri are able to share miniatures, to varying degrees, so it becomes easier.... Then I started playing more Vampire games... more on them later....

I eventually replaced the foam inserts with three levels.... Excluding support stuff, I have room for 46 miniatures... Plenty, right? Well, disliking the standard zombies, and really liking rotters as zeds (and long ago zombifying a beastman), I thought, "why not go for Nurgle, too?" So for those of you who want the most teams from the least miniatures, here are the four teams in one bag:

6 Rotters/Zombies; this should take care of even the occasinal need for journey zeds, though I carry an extra two zombies (a Zombified Greaser Geargrinder and one old citadel model in case of the Necromancer ability).... (Necro, Undead, Nurgle)

4 Ghouls (Necro, Undead)

2 Wights (Necro, Undead, though a skeletal looking wight could fill in for a Khemri blitz-ra)

2 Flesh Golems (Necro, but given the right model choice, could be ersatz mummies/tomb guardians)

2 Werewolves (Necro)

6 Skeletons (probably overkill, Undead, Khemri)

2 Mummies (an Undead luxury, see Flesh Golems above)

4 Pestigors (Nurgle... even useful as zombies on Necro/Undead)

2 Blitz-Ras (Khemri, but see notes on Wights)

2 Throw-Ras (Khemri)

4 Tomb Guardians (Khemri, but see notes on Flesh Golems)

You will note that I have no dedicated models for Nurgle Warriors, but a I will proxy the TGs here....

So, for those on a budget, 36 (or slightly less) models could get you 4 teams :)

In the top level of my bag I also carry models for all the inducements, 6 star players, three markers and three models for coaching staff, as well as dice, star player cards and player status markers....

The field is an impact miniatures felt pitch, rolled inside a cardboard mailing tube, threaded through the carrying straps.... Currently, an interior tube carries plastic clik models for a vampire team.... My near future project involves three felt jewelry wraps that hopefully will protect a metal vampire team and fit inside the rolled pitch... If so, I will have FIVE teams in one compact bag! :smoking:

As the revised title says, I now have a sharing scheme to include everything needed to play blood bowl and FIVE teams in one Ultra Pro bag... Necros, Undead, Khemri, Vampires, and Nurgle. Counting just the team minis... looks like I can do the five teams with just 39 miniatures (excluding support and star players)! Of course I'm using skellies/ghouls for thralls, and will either like the results (a real freak show look) or will paint the humans to go with them and attach with a jewelers felt cloth to the pitch roll carrier.... The largish "zeds" are sufficient to use as Nurgle Warriors...
