Re: Black Scorpion: Chaos team
Im going to stick up for black scorpion here. No offence to tom and impact (I like a lot of your mini's) but I really dont like some of the sculpts. Black scorpion is the same and although I dont always like the models the sculpt quality is great. I will deffo be investing in their dwarves and skaven (I know a lot of people dont like them but its all personal taste). Hope black scorpion keep up the good work and carry on giving us top quality sculpts at a decent price.
Saying that I also have eyes on impacts cdorfs and zons.
And I think the models look pretty good. Should have 4 warriors though.

No offense taken. I realize fully that some of our teams are amateur sculptor submissions and not to everyone's taste. My goal is to be able to offer all 24 teams with full 16 player (or more) rosters for the price that BS is charging for 11.Oly1987 wrote:No offence to tom and impact (I like a lot of your mini's) but I really dont like some of the sculpts.
I still really like and own the Black Scorpion Elf/Human team. Just wish if they are going to make 12 player teams that they would do better at offering the the positionals in the team. I feel a lot like the BS teams are like the ones GW designed. Made so you HAD to buy more minis to actually play than the base team.

I think olys comments were more aimed at the few individual that exhibit a fanboy mentality towards impact, and are overly negative towards any non impact product.
Personally I think impact are doing a grand job at the moment of offering a good budget option and where I would be less likely to pay the inflated metal prices of some of the (imho) poorly sculpted teams, I dont mind giving them a try at £23 for a full team.
With regard to this team, they give off a strong 3rd ed vibe which im not a massive fan of, although the beastmen do hold some charm. Would be nice to have an option to just buy 10 of them.

No idea if they plan to do the same with these, but I know with the Vermin post-Salute last year they had some different options in the store after the initial limited choices.
At the very least, send them an email as they were helpful when I contacted them about getting a different team make-up and at the worst, they can just say "sorry, can't do that".
I had a very brief look at them on there stall last weekend (it was very busy every time I walked past it), but they looked ok. I think I'd still be interested in the Beastmen, but even "in the flesh" still wasn't enamoured with the warriors. All that said, probably won't pick them up, as my converted GW plastic Chaos team is the only one I've made that I'm happy with, and I'm not that likely to play Chaos enough to justify having more than one team.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
