Re: What are you painting Right Now?
Had to have a break from all that green and blue for my ogre team, so I threw in a Starplayer. This is supposed to be Setekh. I paint all my undead starplayers in a grey-black-silver scheme with some individual colors thrown in here and there. There is actually so many undead stars, that you can form a whole team with them.

Very nice job mate. Black can be a real pain to get right, but this looks great.

That's ace... I want to paint my Khemri in something other than the usual blue & gold / yellow and was thinking about a similar colour scheme. You just convinced me!

I love those colors, Dino! (And, of course, the painting's great.) May I ask how you paint your gold?

Re: What are you painting Right Now?
Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed painting this guy up. Might have to get me another one some time.
@puzzlemonkey
The golden color is done in a really simple way: basecoat is Glorious Gold, followed by a not so fine layer of Polished Gold (both Vallejo Game Color). Everything got washed with a slightly thinned down Brown Ink (a very old and glazing wash from GW). Now another higlight of Polished Gold gets applied, but this time I was a little more careful to keep it more like on the edges. The last highlight was a 3/1 mix of Polished Gold and any kind of Mithrilish Silver. It has to be at leas 3/1, otherwise the golden color disappears to much. Make sure to highlight only the most edgy spots with this color, as you actually only want to get the "Bling"-effect with it.
Cheers

Here are some finished pictures of my Ogres. Just need sealant and maybe some weights/magnets in the bases.

Re: What are you painting Right Now?
This thread keeps me honest. If I post here I'm getting a team ready for a tournament, I won't slack off.
Though I really should learn to schedule more than two weeks to paint a whole team...
