Thanks!ChenZhen wrote:Very nice looking team!Milo wrote:And the other half... Not pictured is a Morg'th N'throg in similar colors.
Right now I'm working on my Hobgoblins, trying to match a two-tone purple color scheme from some Chaos Dwarves I painted up 20 years ago. And to make it worse, I mixed the lighter shade of purple by hand, and now I have to match it. Fun. Plus I'm trying to paint a complete Hobgoblin team, so I have 16 of them to do.
Also painting some details on Lizardmen, with Vampires and Slaan on the shelf next up.

Polishing up a Khemri team for Uff Da Bowl. They're mostly done but just needed some more work on highlighting/shading and some detailing.

Here's a look at the Hobgobs on the painting table. 16 of them, plus a sneaky git plus a Minotaur, all in two toned purple (darker color is Liche Purple, lighter is mixed with white). On one hand, assembly line painting is much faster. Also, boring. Still got two more Hobgoblins I'm not painting, because really, isn't sixteen enough?

Finally applying paint to the Willys undead elf.... Instead of going straight for the skeleton look, I will try painting cracked, leathery, mummified skin weathering away to bone.... Might work....

Nothing, as it has been too rainy and humid to prime anything!
I did spend a couple hours cutting out what may become tiles for my next pitch.

Cool, cool, make sure you kick ass!
Took a minor break and rediscovered my gobbo team is still in wonderful shape! The 10 basic gobs are fine, so I did some prep work on the 2 ed pogo, the rackham fanatic and the simple conversion of putting a chainsaw hand onto the gobbo/orc Grouchy Greenuts Referee model.... The line of metal is maintained....

Moving on to finishing up my Lizardman team, from Impact in Trollforged resin. Had the basic skin color done months ago, but picking out the details is making all the difference in rediscovering my love for these minis.

Re: What are you painting Right Now?
I just finished a test model for my Helcaraxe Hellcats Impact Norse team.
I'd love any critiques or ideas anybody has. Specifically, I could use help with:
1) I used metallic medium for the jersey/helmet/kneepads—hoping for a bit of a glam look. I don't hate it, but I don't think it looks good, either. Anyone ever do anything like this? Tips? I'm thinking of punting and doing something where the stripes and highlighting will be clearer. Or could I make it clearer if I were doing something better?
2) Silver working on the helmet and mail thong? Should I use white and dark blue respectively instead? (I was afraid of going too monochromatic.) Some other color?
3) Those eyes! All the teams that I've found pics of on the net just blow 'em off, even some really good ones. Any masters of the brush with tips for how to get at them?

Re: What are you painting Right Now?
Nice job on the amazon. As for coloured metallics, I have been tempted to experiment with coloured glazes to add the colour to the metallic area. So paint up using your normal silver method then at the end apply the coloured glaze as a filter. Not sure how it would work in practice but in my head (a scary place) I think it would work well.
