@Shteve0: I've been itching to do a lava field/pitch for ages but I doubt I'll have the oportunity any time soon (painting a board, cutting cork plates, gluing, painting again, etc). This may not be the ideal solution but seems a very good one nevertheless - and I have found some very nice lava patterns for photoshop!

Also a custom pitch for my GF's Tumbling Stones dwarfette team. And possibly something weirder using some vine brushes I found the other day. Possibilities are endless!

One thing though: can you send me the image files for the grid and field lines? Don't really have the time at the moment to work those from scratch and would like endzones w/out colours.

Shteve0, if I can make another suggestion: make a mat and include as many dugouts as possible on it, for someone to order and cut them out themselves.

My artistic kung fu is rather limited on these type of things, any chance someone can knock up a place mat / bar mat sized dug out template?

Oh come on, after reading this, who doesn't want a Blood Bowl pitch as a doormat? No offense Shteve0 - it's a great design. But I think you're missing the boat here. We need Blood Bowl Bling! Doormats, mazzuzahs, flags to hang outside, planter pots - oh my Nuffle, Garden Gnomes!!!!! This is a gold mine waiting to happen!

Hi connexion - I got your PM too How about we work on the core files and I upload the templates to the drive for public use? I reckon there'll be a lot of call for those designs. They sound inspired! If you can get me background designs that meet the mininum pixel limits I'll be really happy to turn them into pitches for you. Just make sure you're not breaching copyright

Just a quick note on this - the three extra colour options (and the colourless option) will likely take me a few days to knock up. This weekend is my 30th (damned inconvenient, I know) and I suspect my wife has plans for me... or at least plans that don't entail me spending the weekend mucking about with uploading and resizing image files

@Shteve0: I prepared two lava backgrounds, one using just the pattern and the other combining 3 patterns, and tested them directly on your templates. There doesn't seem to be any size problem but what background size are you using, their recommended minimum or above?

PM me your email so I can send the backgrounds I have finished (using free patterns from Deviantart since we're at it) and I can send more as I have them.

Hi guys!

I uploaded the red/yellow, blue/yellow and sky blue/grey colour combinations today. They should be available to order within 48-72 hours.

I've also quickly mocked up some alternative backgrounds.

No news on the advertisements yet, and the dugouts are close to completion... hopefully an update on both in the next 24 hours









theghr - I've made the pitch as big as possible - the limitation is linked to bleed area, unfortunately. That's why the counter runs are there - otherwise it's dead space. Hopefully I can get agreement to use the pitchside adverts to provide an alternative use

Really nice templates there! Assuming you're still happy to try custom ones, would you be able to do a grey astrogranite pitch with small tufts of grass similar to my bases for Elf Insurance with charcoal grey endzones and white markings please?

Very nice. I've been looking into making a pitch rather than paying for ff-fields to ship me one from across the pond.
Some of my fellow D&D DMs have been getting maps made for Tyranny of Dragons by having bannerbuzz.com print them as vinyl laminated banners.
Can send me hi res version of the pitch and dugouts to try on their 3ft by 2ft banner?

loving the lava crackle effect... some great stuff here Steve, and at $25?? I just forked out 5 times that for a custom pitch - I'm delighted with it, but I think I'll be trying this sooner rather than later.
