Deathwing's Flings.

Post by Deathwing »

Hey strangers. Got around to taking a few pics of the last team I painted (which was a while ago now). Given that I take stupid amounts of time painting most things, this was a concious effort to speed things up and get a decent tabletop standard in a faster time. (Not that they've actually seen a tabletop, but hey...maybe one day..).

Anyway, here's the flings:

Supernice! Must admit I wish my flings were a little bit smaller.. These ones look great!

Lovely work, and that "Rooted" base is a brilliant idea!

I don't recognise nr 1. What model is it?

Nice work and I also like the rooted base. Might steal that idea for my 'flings, if that's okay?

Not sure about the manufacturer, got it from Impact! but doesn't seem to be available online there anymore. Perhaps Tom can shed some more light?
(I think I have a spare if anybody's interested.)

Steal away, and thanks.

It's from a spanish guy that made a couple of minis and then disappeared. His brand was HDE Miniatures and Impact sold them for a while, but not anymore.

Durden sold them here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=34208

but I think that right now is sold out...

Hey Deathwing, Good to see you painting some more - when can we expect to see you in the flesh again? The ACC has spaces...

The Rooted Base looked like a 40mm base with the Slater's Numbers on it. We still sell both 40mm bases and Slater's. If the Tree is on a 30mm base like I think it is ... then you'd be able to get the same effect with those 3 items.

Galak is exactly correct. ( And in fact, all the items did actually come from Impact! )

Nice Team!

So, Deathwing is back painting!
It makes me remember the time (about 2004/2005)
of the famous great painted Heresy wight and the rest of the team.
Very hard to win a Best Painted in those days.
