Fields for purchase, what options is out there?

Post by theghr »

Hi, hopefully this has not been done(Or if it has, please send me to it). I wont ask for a sticky since we dont seem to be doing those anymore(Kinda good), but i thought we could get all the options in here.

WITH dugouts and such:
Rubber: 4thWar.com just had a Kickstarter where one went for $45-49 for 2 mm and 4mm thick field, respectively.

WITHOUT duguots and such:

I will collect your contributions in this post.

Tableros Para Juegos make vinyl fields with or without dugouts. $30-45 depending on the options.

FF-Fields make vinyl and hard acrylic (?) fields, both with dugouts. Vinyl fields start around $50. Hard fields start around $60.

Impact! make felt mats without dugouts. $24 for a standard-sized field.

Great. And who was it that did those dorrmats recently?

Could we possibly make some kind of a Resource sticky which contain all threads like this one? It could contain the Indipendant miniature manufacturer thread, the Advertizement thread, maybe even the custom arena thread, and many many more i'm sure.

Stoelzel’s Structures has just put out a print-it-yourself PDF of sports fields that includes two different "fantasy football fields" that could work for anyone wanting a quick and simple printed field.

Do any of those places have a US distributor or seller?

Most of those are from either Tableros Para Juegos (previously known as Sanabeso; many of the product listings still use that name) or FF-Fields, both of which are already listed above.

Our league did pitches on vinyl through a local print shop. A graphic designer designed a pitch, and as we were running an event we were able to order 20 pitches for around $400-$450. Admittedly it was a bit of luck being able to pull everything required together, but we did all get a great souvenir

Www.everett-bbl.org has free to download 40mm pitches you can print off. I also own several FF Fields and have an Impact felt on order.

I did order an Amazon team and an Ice troll from Impact recently. No notice of shipment yet (small company so not surprising). Have a friend who is all psyched to try the Viking Norse (cause she's on a Viking kick right now), and she might end up ordering the Valkryies from there. I think I might have her (and her husband) buy the felt mat for our group to try while I work on finding suitable art for a vinyl one.

Sir Skofis's Workshop Blog. Two different pitches with dug outs in a large pdf file, as well as broken up to fit on A4 and A3 paper.

To add to the list.

Hey just my two cents,

I have three felt fields from Impact, and they are great for long distance travel, and serve double duty as stuffing for packaging your teams! Both full field sizes and Sevens sized fields, with clear lines and simple colours. Impact are really great with their orders and I've used their service for years. I've ordered from Japan and they ship from the US with no issues at all.

I also have two FF-Fields (again in reg and 7s sizes) and likewise, their service and communication were great. This option allows for some great options, but you pay for that. Amazing products. I currently have a third on order now.

I have gifted friends with fields from both of the above companies and always blow my friends away with these products.

Lastly, I've never ordered a field from Comixinios, but I have ordered many other things from them over the past three years. Always great service and fast shipping.

I hope that helps with your decision making in some small way.

Cheers,
- Dan
