:D Never thought of them like that ... but yeah the soft felt would make a good cushion material in a case.

Hey Tom,

Yeah I maybe didn't word it as well as you did. I shouldn't have been writing after midnight, mind was too lacking in coffee.
I use the small Impact team case, a pair of mini Battlefoam cases and the big old GW case. All of which can have the felt fields folded nicely inside of to keep the teams from bouncing around. It's super convenient to have the field and players all together.

Cheers,
-Dan

I had a bunch of those Deep Cut pitches made up for our local league and can attest to their quality. Lovely pitches!

I received the pitch using Sir Skofi's free pitch from his blog and made by bannerbuzz.com.

It's laminated vinyl with the edges folded and hemmed. Should make it fairly durable.

My cat refused to move for the picture.

This was taken right out of the mailing tube, so I'm guessing once it lies flat for a few minutes the edges will uncurl and make a final portable pitch.

It would have been cheaper still without the lamination, and folding over & hemming the mat, but under $20 to my door is damn fine for an economy job. I'm still going to put money aside for one of the much prettier FF-fields mats in the future.
