High TV Vampires
I'm playing my vampire team Batshof Red Sucks and I have a big roster, 6 vamps and 9 thralls. 5 rerolls and 3 AC/CL each at 222 TV.
Will it hold to have high TV??
Or do they be better at a lower TV??
What about your teams??

Re: High TV Vampires
I think at high TV that vamps become highly competitive - easily tier 1.
Look at it this way, if have your team is 6/4/4/8 blodge how often are you going to need team rerolls for anything other then bloodlust? And with av8 AND regen AND apo access those vamps will live for a long time.
One of the top teams in my league is a high TV vamp team if you are interested in seeing how someone else developed his team:

Vamps are a tough team to use well.
Tarabaralla is one of the best coaches on FUMBBL and likes them - here are a couple of his teams, I highly recommend checking some of the replays.

Great!!! Maybe I have one reroll to much, but its only 70k so I'll keep it.
When do you fire/sack/kick Thralls???
I'll sack them if they get niggled!!!
How many skills is healthy on a thrall 2, 3 or 4?
When will thrall become to expensive?
Thanks for all advice.

Re: High TV Vampires
Personally I'd get rid of a reroll and fill out the roster with the final thrall if I were you. I was lucky to roll doubles on a thrall first skill so I have leader on him which allowed me to drop to three rerolls briefly. He got niggled though so i've gone back to four as he misses more games. Firings depend on cash issues, injury type and player skills. -AG and -MA are for LOS duty, -ST and -AV are almost certainly firings and a niggle is dependent on the thrall.
I won't fire a skilled thrall without an injury unless i'm rich and the game i'm fixing the TV for is high value. Skilled thralls can bring a lot to the team especially if you get any with +AG.
As said earlier high TV vamps are competitive especially as most perpetual leagues will have top divisions which are bash heavy which is fertile ground for vamps.

Re: High TV Vampires
I have a powerhouse vampire team. One of my vamps got two doubles and has become the greatest thrower I've ever seen (pass, strong arm, accurate).
Vampires are considered tier 2 because they're easy to get wrong, and don't follow the standard paradigms of team play styles.
If you play them very well, they are made of win.

Re: High TV Vampires
My computer crashed, so here's what I remember. I started with
3 Vampire
8 Thrall
5 RRs
I bought one more re-roll, and filled out the thralls and vampires as I went.
I did not go pro right away with any vampires. I made most of my vampires into Blodgers, with the exception of the thrower vampire (accurate, strong arm, pass). I also got Frenzy on one of my vampires, and sidestep on the other.
One thrall rolled a str up, but none of the other ones got anything interesting (block or wrestle whenever it happened).

Re: High TV Vampires
Very tricky to play are the vamps....
I had a team which went to the Superbowl in our league and they were tough but good fun to play. At high TV the team itself can be excellent I had
5 vamps, 10 Thralls, 5 RR, 8FF at 1,880,000 TV.

They were good to play but I found that at the high TV the inducements I gave away made it tough in my second season. I think you need the thralls so get at least 10 but 4/5 vamps are enough. You could slack a RR off as well depending on the skills you have.

Well, I think you should kick all your vampires and go with an all thrall team. But maybe that is because my necro needs to beat you to win the league.stashman wrote:I'm playing my vampire team Batshof Red Sucks and I have a big roster, 6 vamps and 9 thralls. 5 rerolls and 3 AC/CL each at 222 TV.

Maybe I'll do an all Hobgoblin Team next season, just like my all Norse lineman team
