Painting undead/grey skin tones with blending

Post by TheDoc »

Hi All,

I saw Axia's nice vampire team and some of the wonderful entries to "Show us ye team" and "What are you painting now" and I had a go myself. Now with my Ghoul I used the Axia Codex grey with flesh mix with blue grey shading and the damned thing ... has turned out predominantly blue! :pissed:

I am seeming to struggle to get the blending, shading and highlighting correct to give that feel of realism. Any tips??

Doc

The blue for your shading needs to be very diluted. You will need to build up multiple layers but the eefect is that the blue shade will be more subtle.

Can you post a picture of the mini as that may help with people offering help?
