One more newbie

Post by Colonel Fatlad »

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I've just got back into blood bowl after about ten years (god, I'm getting old  ). I haven't played much since 2nd edition, but am planning to play a lot more.
What I really need are some opponents. I'm in the process of moving to Chester, UK. If there is anyone in the Chester/Manchester/Wirral areas with a league, or just wants a game, get in touch. I've got a friend over here who should be up for it as well.
Any tips for a newbie Norse team are also appreciated. They didn't have these new-fangled Norse back in my day, so I don't have a clue :smoking: .
Cheers.

Welcome :D
As for norse, lay a smacking on anyone who stands still.

I really like the idea of just smacking anyone who gets close (that's what I'm getting a minotaur for :D ), but I'm worried about that low AV. Do people usually use a running game or a short passing game with Norse? I'm also don't like the fact that I haven't got any dodge. Will this make me as static as I think it will? My next game is against skaven, any tips?

Welcome :D

Low av is a problem with norse. But hopefully you will be able to knock your opponent down more than they knock you down.
With norse you can play both running and short pass game.
Which one i choose depends on what team i am meeting and the situation of the game.
Most hitting teams dont start with dodge.
Its no crisis that they dont have any players in the beginning with it.
If you want some tactical advice i just posted some as a reply to your question in tactic and team development.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".
