Nurgle Warrior options

Post by TalonBay »

I've got a beast and some Rotters sorted out, a real mix of races and manufacturers that sit well with each other (mostly zombie variants). I've got some pestigors in mind too.

What I need is ideas for the Nurgle Warriors, any suggestions? Looking for ones that look like they belong on a FF pitch.

I'm almost at the same point, but I'm looking for a beast, which one are you using?

This are my Warriors:

And there is a fifth one:

I got on ebay (finally) the old tentacled beast. Of course when I got it, discovered he was missing a foot (and he wasn't painted as the picture showed).

Not sure if I will put some helmets on a few tenticles and how to deal with the missing foot.

Do you want a beast? Or would something humanoid be acceptable? What does the rest of the team look like (take a pic, regardless of painting, gives an idea of how they are looking).

Impact has a number of cheap options for warriors that aren't oversized as well.

In my search for a beast I picked up parts for a couple of those (also without feet) but wasn't impressed with them, just haven't got round to ebaying them yet.

I'm planning on picking up the beastface miniatures beastmen, the rest of the team so far:

I found these online.
I think they're a converted GW Nurgle Lord.
Easy enough to switch out the head, but they'll all have the same body.

And here is the page that pic came from:

I use the following for my Warriors:

Bilerot Vomitflesh 2nd edition
Acid Scarred Max
Greaser Geargrinder
Mojon Bowl Rotter

They are all beefier than the gw rotters, though I velcro a 30mm base under them to gain a little height

Comixininos ships to the UK. Good service as well, I've ordered a lot from them.

Alternatively, check the GW website after 7:00pm on Friday. Nurgle are getting some love in the form of a new unit type, and very tasty they look as well.
5 per box, big and chunky, they come on 40mm WFB bases but should fit on 30mm rounds no problem.

They do look promising, are the shields integrated into the arms on the plastic figures or separate? Just wondering how big a job the conversion would be.

Not seen the frames yet, I expect they'll be shown on the store when they go up for order, but from what I have seen there are plenty of arms without shield options.

BlightKing frames are up now.. some nice pukey bitz and pieces, $11 per mini isn't a killer either.. scale might be a little unwieldy, but overall not a bad option..

Lol, brilliant, GW's creative approach to exchange rates strikes again. Price in NZ store: $110. Price in UK store: £33.50 (NZ$67). A 65% markup, for what exactly? Good luck with that one.

£35 in the UK is bad enough... Quite pricey for plastic :-?
