Mine was not responded to either, and there's been no response on Facebook either in a while.

Is seeming more and more likely that about half of us (those who haven't received the models) will never get them.

There's little value left in the Necrom brand, so I suppose he has little to gain by putting his own money in to finish the project.

There's still activity on his personal Facebook, so he hasn't gone into hiding. Maybe he could be convinced to give the project to another manufacturer who would fulfill the Indiegogo in return for future rights to the sculpts.

Hi guys

I've contacted indiegogo french support in september for getting some help and I did get an answer !

First my mail :
jim_itsuki (**********) submitted feedback.

Bonjour
Je vous contacte au sujet de ce projet terminé en février 2013
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/279481

Merci d'avance

Cordialement.
And the answer :

So basically just telling us to contact him via channels we already know he's ignoring. Perhaps a reply to Indiegogo indicating this is the case and that they need to step in.

I note in the email you sent (run through google translate) you asked Indiegogo to attempt contact but they didn't really seem inclined to do so in their reply (stating that it's basically up to use to try and get compensation).
It's a bit unfortunate, because they could have some other contact details for him to chase him up that we aren't really privvy to (Such as phone number) that's a bit more direct than things he can ignore (i.e email/facebook).

I imagine Indiegogo, like KS, don't really have much to do with chasing people. The basic attitude seems to be "your risk, your problem".

Indiegogo and Kickstarter care for getting their 5% or so cut of the total. After that, they stop to care.

I doubt we will hear from Necrom again. I see Enrique Palomares is on Facebook, friend with Willy Miniatures among others. Has anyone tried to contact him there?

Crowdfunding is not the same as purchasing. The platform has no responsibility to get you the actual items or a refund.

Interesting they have no liability, given they take a cut of the monies. It isn't a payment for the service, because that would need to be per backer, or per project etc. I would have thought their role in facilitating, promoting and hosting the activity does give them some liability to the limit of what they make from it?

It is because when you sign up for an account you agree that you understand that all pledges made are risk capital and a agreement between only the project creator and yourself. Because you agree to this to sign up and get an account ... the crowdfunding site cannot be held responsible for your risk capital investment going bad.

It is why I really do research into a company or person before I pledge because I want to have confidence that I'll actually get the items I pledged for. I've backed 97 KickStarter and Indiegogo campaigns so far and to date I've not yet had one reach a point where I did not get or believe I have no hope of getting the items.

Yeah, that does seem to be glossed over quite a lot. Crowdfunding is putting the risk far more on the consumer and a lot of times the prices of models are pretty steep anyway.

Unless you are getting a hefty discount or it's the only way to get the models then it really isn't worth giving up your protections. For some larger companies this seems to have become a pre-order method against the spirit of it's original intent.

this is FALSE , kickstarter is the platform with more fraud, gyp , more money "missing" and more delays in send .

Willy ... I do not think you understood the conversation. When you say "this is False" ... the two statements you quoted ... one said that neither site tracks down project creators which is definitely true. The other said that Crowdfunding is a risk to the buyer which is also definitely true. So neither statement you quoted was false at all.

Assuming you misunderstood and thought this was a comparison of IG to KS (which was not happening). Again the statement you made is not accurate (you may feel that it is accurate ... but it is not). For many years Indiegogo was way ahead of this curve due to the Flexible Funding option and lack of human review. This has recently begun to even out due to KickStarter removing the human checks like Indiegogo did. I read and follow a lot of sites that actually track these things ... so I can honestly say that your statement that one is worse then the other for problem projects is not accurate. KickStarter gets more press and news simply because it is the main crowdfunding platform in the game and it brings in a significantly higher number of large $ projects that make news when there are problems than Indiegogo has.

I think it's time to come to terms that I got screwed on this and move on to another Amazon team. I'm done with crowd funding.

I didnt get mine from Necrom, too. :pissed:

But i got very good ones from a different company!!! :D
I can recommend the Amazons from Willy Miniatures. I started to paint them just a few days ago.
Great sculpted miniatures. A bit work with putting together the small arms for some of the miniatures.
Im not sure, if you can get them already from the online shops as it was a quite fresh Indiegogo project.

Here a linke to have a look:

Thanks for link traveller. Willy has them on his website now. I'm going to compare them to all the other Amazon teams available to see which ones I like the best. I have been delaying this because I was holding out hope that Necrom would come through for me.
