Phew, I have to do some dusting here! Well, I`ll just get ahead with it I guess...

This is my version of Bomber Dribblesnot. I thought I`d give him a more up-to-date Blood Bowl look, so he would fit nicely into the team. Therefore I dropped the piratehat and gave him a "Zippo" to light the fuse.

This here is a throwerlike looking Greenskin to complete my set of Snotlings for the team.

Image

And of course, here`s another one of the unsung heroes of the team.

The green side of the team is done so far. What I`m looking for is a "Thrower-arm" from the BB ogres to make my version of Brick Farth. For Bertha I really wanted the Ogress from the Amazon campaign that has turned out so poorly. That man will get my anti-support for the rest of his life.

I`m not very talented with green stuff, but one of the ogres has almost everything built onto him that I want him to have. Since I have to finish a Freebooters Fate Coscritti until the end of the week I`ll start painting the first ogre by the end of the month. Will post some WIP`s then.

By the look of some of your converted snots, I'd bet any pics of your GS/conversion work would be very appreciated!
Even WIP's of the (already painted) snots, would certainly be inspiring for those of us who insist in building their teams almost from scratch.

Allright I´ve looke through the pictures I still has and found some shots of the conversions, but sadly not that many.

The coach was abviously the easiest conversion of them all. Just a bannerpole sticked into the base and a different head for a gnoblar body.

Image

Next up is "the runner". The left arm is a classic goblin arm, a blackorc elbowpad (I LOVE THOSE) and a chaos warrior glove.

Image

Before converting I sometimes think about different versions and decide later on which one is used (or better, what I`m capable of modeling with my limited skills on that...).

Image
Image

I decided to go with a look that would resemble the 2nd edition Skaven a lot. If I ever decide to make an underworld team, all I need to do is to get some of those skaven and give them a proper paint job.

Image

The catcher on the other side is only cut together pieces from quite obvious models. I absolutel adore the human catcher glove from the starter box plastic sprue. The y are so incredible versatile, if anyone wants to get rid of those or exchange them for any bits I own, I`d be glad to lighten your burden of those gloves ;)

Image

Don`t have a building WIP of the thrower anymore, only of the paintjob, where you can see that I usualy paint up one particular area like "skinparts", "armour" or "anything clothy". Not a preferable technique, but for someone like me, who cannot blend, it`s a nice way to give the models a rather comicbooklike look in the end. Don`t get me wrong, I like "realistic" painting, but for BB a more comic focused look seems to be the right thing.

Image

And this is the recent bomber starplayer.

Image

As you can see, just a bit of Green Stuff was added. Sometimes less is more. Speaking of less is more sizewise, this guy is my favourite one of the team. The model was tiny, but the style of one of the amunition grots was just screaming to be uses as a snotling. Ironically it needed almost as much time to paint him up as on bigger models, but in the end it was worth it.

Image

Well, ogrewise I worked a little bit on my version of Morg `n Thorg. I still need to obtain the left hand, which is going to be the open "shouting"-hand from one of bellowing ogre models. I´ll place it so it looks like Morg is waiving someone to him, to come and get a deserved beating.

Image

His pants are going to get the typical blue-white stripes. I actually want to keep as close as possible to the colorscheme of the original model, so the resemblance will be clear. The head is from the gnoblar cannon sprue, or whatever that thing is called. I don`t really play Warhammer, so I don`t know what ost of the stuff is called, but I like to use the plastic models as a base for conversions.

Or, you could just buy a set of the very similar part from TableTop-Art?

And thank you for sharing. Stunning work

As far as I know, it`s actually the identical glove, except for the part with the beltbuckles on it. Stuff from Tabletop-Art is awesome and I`m quite happy that my local retailer has the products in his store or can order it for you. But from the optical standpoint, I think the beltbuckle gives it the certain extra and as I said, I cannot make them myself.

I`m more likely to get me the Headset No.1, to convert a Khorneteam, but thats on the waiting-list for now, since I still have to finish this team first.

Thanks for sharing those Dino!

The conversions you made add lots of dynamics and bloodbowl-ish look to the models!
They go far beyond the simple "weapon snip", and its amazing how changing the position of an arm, and a small dot of GStuff completely change the feel of the mini. Congrats!

Knowing the plastic snot models you used, one thing that pops to the eye is the amount of plastic you had to remove in some of them (embedded weapons, ammo, or even arms). Is that "x-acto" blade work, or do you use any sort of electric tool ("dremel" or the sorts)?
