So I got his lower arms on, but his left hand looks too big... Might have to pull it off and do a new one
also I need to do the straightjacket sleeves.

Great! The thumbs though look like they're broken. Also sand the shoulderpads, makes a contrast.

Hand wise... do you have any other models that can donate their hands?

I guess, but I'd really like to do him entirely from the bottom up. Also there could be copyright complications if he is to be cast and sold.

Here's a quick sketch of how I'd want to place the ripped straight jacket sleeves. They're gonna be pretty thin so I figured I'd keep contact with the legs for the cast to hold. Anybody with casting experience got any input? Also people can chime in if they like the sleeves in general.

True - however as the human hand is rather generic, a bare hand would be fairly impossible to say comes from which model...Madsherman wrote:I guess, but I'd really like to do him entirely from the bottom up. Also there could be copyright complications if he is to be cast and sold.

I'm eager to get my hands on this, sanded or what. It's your miniature.Madsherman wrote:Please elaborate on the shoulderpadssanding? Is it to make sharper edges?

I'm afraid I don't understand? I'm interested in knowing what you'd like to sand on the shoulderpads? is it to make the round parts smoother? Or to make the edges/trimmings sharper? I did some new hands.. they look better.

Yeah, it makes it sharper and gives a contrast. Still a bit meh on the left hand but I'm really criticizing now. Yhey're good overall. Thumbs lean too much inward, I think.Madsherman wrote:I'm afraid I don't understand? I'm interested in knowing what you'd like to sand on the shoulderpads? is it to make the round parts smoother? yeah.. I guess I just need more hand practice, I think if I redo them again I'd be prone to making them worse. If you buy it feel free to swap the hands

Not that I'm an expert sculpter (or anything along those lines) but if you make fists, your thumbs will naturally reach your middle finger or thereabouts (or at least thats where mine get to!) to get your thumbs to overlap all fingers is a bit of a contortion actMadsherman wrote:yeah.. Edit: I might as well add that I really like the model while I'm commenting though.

Done! I need to take some better pics (maybe give him, a watercolor wash to accentuate details), and in more angles..
