My Skaven team for the NAFC - painted in only 10 months!

Post by dfunkateer »

Yo!

as I'm about to attend my first ever tournament this weekend with my first ever fully completed team (despite having played BB for more years than I'd care to admit) I thought it only right to post a photo.

I know it won't win any prizes for painting or originality, but I'm pretty pleased with it.

So much faster than me :(

Those gutter runners - look a bit like mutant moles! What are they made from?

some nice conversion work and good, clean painting... a wash or two would really add some depth though..

Thanks for the comments guys :)

The gutter runners are GW ghoul bodies, plague monk heads and green stuff tails.

Axia - I have no idea what you mean...... to be honest though, it was more like 12 months and not 10 :)

Norse - thanks dude. Washes and some more highlighting was on the agenda, although I got to the "screw it, they're done" stage before the wash/highlight stage.

Chris - "cute toys" wasn't exactly the look I was going for but I'll take it as a compliment :D

Pisshh...

I started my painting NAFC team on Saturday...

I really wish I could start painting my teams in advance, but no matter how long in advance I have before the next tournie, no matter when I undercoat them, I never start painting until the week before.

It's a good job I'm a shit painter...

its half past midnight and I have just undercoated my Skaven team for NAFC, and I can't paint during they day due to Xavier (3 year old son who wants to play with my toys) I doubt mine will appear half as good

Hooray!
:D
Hopefully you'll enjoy so much playing with them painted, you'll start some brushwork on your other teams!

Cheers,
A.
