Tom supported my tournament with an awesome prize "deal"

from a personal point of view ( as someone waiting for his team as part of a league order ) I'm sure I speak for my league when I say we can wait, there was and continues to be a conflict between personal circumstance and business which is unfortunate, however your priorities are correct, your family must come first, wish there was someway we could help other than vocal support here.

Appreciated! Wish I had known you had an outstanding KS reward. I have been including KS rewards with any new orders made if I am told one is still due to help save on postage since the project is over budget.

Just double-checking and distributing the teams for my league was such a headache, it really made me appreciate the job Tom is doing. Every single team is 30-40 pieces of plastic without much to distinguish one from the next. That's without even considering all the loose limbs and heads that need to be accounted for and matched up.

I'm sure it's frustrating if you haven't gotten your stuff yet (I was definitely one of the "vocal" funders mentioned above, and the stuff for my league wasn't even really late), but at least you know it will eventually arrive. That's more than you can say with some of these campaigns.

Its probably worthwhile mentioning which UK tournaments you're doing something for in the near future (if any), as we could cross-reference with users and make sure that people can pick up parcels even if they're not being delivered to their home address.

Separately, a quick tally each week (or more frequently) of orders remaining to be fulfilled would probably help people see where things are going. I'm definitely in the camp of "when it comes, it comes" but would still like to see some shipping stats, if possible.

I'll see what I can do mawph. My concern from past experience is that if you have a bad week and only a few get out the door ... it seems to fan the flames. IE ... those types of announcements only seem to "help" the attitude of backers when it is positive news. Negative news just makes the situation more inflamed as there is no ability to put yourself in the other person's shoes.

No problems at all. I can see how that happens.

Definitely worthwhile pointing out if you're sending stuff to any UK tournaments though, as that could help you with shipping costs.

Understood. It is still my hope to finally finish shipping this KS before too many more tournaments occur.

Since I am the high man on the hill (the guy with the biggest pledge and the most teams) I will say a few things about my experience.

One thing that has astonished me has been the huge amount of work I needed to do just to put together the teams with the bases, to distribute them and to answer the PMs and mail of guys that were asking about the situation (I have put together the orders of almost 40 people). And I have yet to receive part of the teams.

I can barely imagine how much it has been for Tom, in the situation he found himself in.

Fortunately as soon as I explained the situation everyone in the community was very understanding.
Miniatures are nice, not important. Family is.
If Tom had prioritized the KS over his son I would have thought a lot less of him.

I had the highest trust in Impact (if I did not I would not have offered myself to put together orders from all over Italy) and I still have. I've taken part in many Impact KSes and this is the only one that has run less then perfectly.

Could he have foreseen some of the troubles?
Maybe yes, but in Italy we have a saying that goes: "Only people that do no work make no mistakes".
Frankly I don't think I could have done better, I'm having a lot of trouble just doing the distributing.

Do I think the brand is damaged? Maybe, but in Italy Impact was not known or common.
Now that the KS teams show up, I've already have people asking me were they can buy them.
So I think they will be more known, since the teams and the quality of the casting is VERY good.
Some people are waiting for them to go on the shop.
Personally I will have no trouble at all to take part in future Impact KS.

I wish Tom all the best, for his family and work.
I think things will improve soon.

Hope you know to keep all my stuff back from any of your KS stuff outstanding for as you as you need to. And if any London BB players are waiting their consignment happy to combine packages up with them if they want.

Thank you Chris. ... yours might actually ship soon for no other reason than I have your ZN Games KS all boxed up and sitting on my desk and I might need the space (as that board game takes up space). I keep moving it around in honor of you informing me you could wait ... but it is getting to the point that I've moved that box so many times ... it might be easier to pack it up with your FF KS stuff and get it shipped. :D

As an outsider it feels like this if anything is one of those campaigns where you just need to feel respect for the process no matter the exact circumstances, much like the Red Box Games one. I have lost no faith in Tre Manor over that one, just maybe the opposite to some extent although that would be kinda vague and more in terms of actually getting to know the person quite well through all this, mostly for good.

Hey Tom, I left you a comment on the Kickstarter, but just in case you're checking here first...

Please feel free to bundle up both my pledge and that of Moraiwe, and send them both to him in the same package if it will save you on postage to Oz. (Assuming, of course, that you haven't already sent off either of them!)

Cheers,
Andrew.

I've got other KS stuff to come, and I've told him to hold it all and ship it in one go, if that saves him time.

Very happy with the teams when they arrived though.

[Edit] Shadows of Brimstone - yep, there's an example of how not to run a KS. Won't be touching another FFP KS.
I'm either going to be attending Lucky Stars in September or I know Dionysian is going so if you want to get your order bundled with mine we can get it distributed at that tournament.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I've got everything from Impact now apart from the just finished Chibi KS.

I know it won't be until after Tom has sent the last KS order out, though I imagine it will be as soon as he can once that's gone out the door.
