Vortice Uteam painted on commission at high level!!

Post by axia »

Hi guys, finally I can show it! A big team of Txanke Vórtice undead team! It has a lot of extra figures, like the lovely Cerberus from Rackham, the Lycos mini and the Mermaid, plus, as requested by the client, a ceramic plate with his logo team made by Ceramiche Liberto workshop! With just an high res logo she had HANDPAINTED (no transfers, no cheats XD) the logo on the plate! Hope you like them, as always comments and critics are welcome, I accept commission. Cheers!

Nice minis, nice paintjob.
The logo plate ads to the fluff alot!
I was just imagining playing on a tourney with my opponent putting the plate on the table and maybe wearing a shirt with the same logo on it! :-?
I'd be impressed and intimidated, I guess...

How does a mermaid blend in with the undead, though? :o

She is may cheerleader as the other Eurobowl Special miniature.
Now the Undead is ready to play at the World Cup - take a guess for which team :)

I wish the flesh tones were not as dark. It's a gorgeous paint job, but the dark uniform and dark skin are too close in shade for me, especially on the Golems and Zombies...

@Kithor2002:
Didn't you used to be around Frankfurt, playing with the Botzliga?
Kithor sounds so familiar...
Didn't we go to the D-Bowl in Berlin 2006, together with Kheldar?

Indeed. I would have loved green and orange...

I agree. It makes for too much of the same colour on those minis.

The painting is awesome as always, but I think it would have looked better with a different colour on them (and maybe the ghouls too). I'm guessing the skin colour was the customer's choice though and the customer is always right! :)

Thank you for the comments and critics! About the skin colour, I agree about the overall output, but as olaf said, it is due to the team logo, with almost 2/3 of it in varoius shades of dark tone! Cheers!

It is in my favour that skin and trikot parts don't differ too much or look quite similiar. With the orange it turns into a nice contrast and reminds me of effects like in Sin City.

I had a friend back in my GW days, an awesome painter, who once painted an Orc team using nothing but black and white paint. We all told him he was an idiot, but it came out looking great, like an old 40s gangster movie BB team. So I see where you are coming from Alex..

I know an undead/necro team like that (painted by Gninocker); all black, white and gray, looking like an old horror movie; awesome! :D
