Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
A forum for football mini's talk.......painting, converting etc. etc. or showing off great accessories that make playing the game easier, cooler or more fun.
The new races will look different to the old ones. Ooruks will not look the same as the orcs we currently have. As such, when they get round to releasing Ooruks, the old models will cease production. He did say that you can still use your old models as ooruks, but you won't be able to buy normal orc boys again.
Need some Orcs for my BB team, guess I'll have to throw some money their way.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
There have been rumours of this for a while. GW want to have a more unique IP on their fantasy races than lame Tolkein rip offs. Mind you for Orcs I thought GW were the ones who popularised Orcs being green.
It could be a good thing if they come up with some interesting looking new models, some of their plastics are really and in desperate need of an update.
This is a good thing, right? New plastics are always a good thing, if you don't want them you don't need to buy them. And like spubbbba says, some of the old kits are pretty tired.
Im keen to see how the zombies, skeletons etc come out.

i am very unmpressed with any of the current human race kits in relation to BB so some better more animated/detailed models for that race would be appreciated

I thought that was TSR with D&D in the 70s. I might be wrong though
From the pages of my 1st edition AD&D Monster Manual
That seems to confirm what I'd read, that Orcs used to be various unpleasant shades with brown being most common. I think early GW Orcs were the same and at some point they decided to make them exclusively green. This has been adopted by other companies so now when you see orcs they will more commonly be green than brown.
besides getting some mordhiem era skaven, and maybe some lizardmen(don't know what "era". the 2nd version of the lizardmen, i believe.), i don't care what happens to gw fantasy plastics. and the stuff i'm interested in(see above) is always on ebay.
i feel sorry for all the WFB people out there. four or five guys in our league play 8th ed fantasy, and they are in a complete nerd rage over age of sigmar
4 page rules somebody at GW is in it for the lulz
Axia is in rage too!! If my beloved orcs disappear to leave place to new sigmarine orkish thing I will close with warhammer forever! They made the same with my beloved dog of war and kislevites
