Skill markers - Kickstarter - 60 pieces 10€
Hi,
I've just found this:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/27 ... components
Asked the owner, he said there is no major problem in to include 3 different colours (20 each).
Just to let you know.

Unless i misunderstand, these are permanent extensions to bases rather than temporary 'skill rings' so I cant imagine they'd be that much use for BB?

If I understand correctly these are probably aimed at 40K players where some sort of rules change meant your whole force was supposed to be on 32mm bases rather than the 25mm that had been standard for decades.

It appears to be reaction to a wargame moving from 25mm bases to 32mm bases and the things they are proposing to make will clip around the smaller base to make them larger.
I'll stick with a skill rings and/or a bag of multicoloured rubber bands.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Because GW has recently released 32mm bases for marines and many other ranges players have a couple of choices.
1. Stay with the bases you have and lose out on the game benefits and better looking base size.
2. Break your painted miniatures off the bases and re base them all.
Or this. Glue onto a 25mm base and it becomes 32mm. All you have to do then is texture and paint the new bit.
Anyone wanting these would be better served by going to Secret Weapon who have been selling them for about 6 months already.
I can't see these being much help when we already have skill rings and Loom Bands.

Re: Skill markers - Kickstarter - 60 pieces 10€
Actually when I saw the two-part design, I thought it might be nice to use sets of different colors to show different skill combinations. This is actually a major weak spot with skill rings, either you end up putting several rings on each model or give the most common combos their own color. (Block is Blue, Dodge is White, Blodge is ... Light Blue).
Unfortunately, these don't seem to be multicolored, and I'd prefer temporary fastenings which could, say, click-in, like a lego or something, so you don't have to super glue them.
Might be something to consider if anyone was looking for a kickstarter project

Magnets on both half?
Could work and I like the idea with having two halves in different colors.

From my opinion, it would help in to:
Save your bases from accidentes getting read of rings.
Mix skills (using two colours)
Guess the rings are magnetized. Read it somewhere. I would confirm it.
