Halfling miniature help

Post by DeathGlam »

Hi guys, i suddenly have the urge to collect and play a Halfling team, i already have a couple of Treemen but two questions really.....

Can anyone suggest good miniatures for Halflings, even counts as miniatures, as i am struggling to find a team i am fully happy with and i might have missed something?

Second question, my favourite option so far is either of the Willy teams, can anyone who has them confirm if each halfling on the teams is one piece or not?

As im not that great working with metal, especially models like that, don't really want to get involved with sticking tiny metal arms on etc.

Cheers in advance for any help that can be offered, its greatly appreciated.

Halfling miniature help

I believe all the willy models are one piece. They are a great team, though I love the GW 3rd edition models (which I own) but they might be tricky to find.

A coach here used the impact deadlings as halflings

I've got a Willy halfling team and I can do nothing but recommend them.
They're a joy to paint due to each haifling having so much character.

They are indeed one pice miniatures.
The only problem with them, is that the scale is a bit large, which isn't a problem if your also using Willy trees.

I like the Impact Miniatures Deadling team. It has a lot of character and can also be used for Undead as well as Necromantic.

I was considering buying the Scotlings from Impact a while ago:

But so far it's more money than I wanted to spend on a team that I'd only rarely play.

Hopefully they will get that Kickstarter out of the way so we can start ordering that Trollcast stuff soon. I'm confident they better stock up real well on that stuff for this prolonged wait have created quite the que of people that wants to order that stuff.

I even created a Scotling Coach persona named Otto McAnnic. (With all due apologies to our Scottish readers) ;)

This, the two halfling teams are awesome but too large, someone gave the sculptor a dwarf instead of a halfling for comparisons.

The Scotling team is already available under the "$35 Trollcast Teams". See here, it was from before the Kickstarter I believe.
