Favorite FF/BB Yeti

Post by rolo »

Jumping on the "favorite big guy" bandwagon. But this is entirely selfish on my part, my Norse team is getting to the point where they can support a Yeti but I don't have a figure for it.

I bought a Hordes Warpwolf originally to use with this team:
Image
It's a beautiful figure and fits well with the wolf theme that I'm using for this team. But the model is sadly just too big to use in Blood Bowl.

And I really haven't been overwhelmed by the selection of Yeti/Yhetee/Snow Troll figures available. So let's see what you guys are using.

I got mine in old white metal from the father of the sculptor (who has unfortunately passed away), but it's been licensed to Impact, so I think the one in the link is TrollForged resin.

Great figure, and large enough to bviously be a Big Guy, but not so big it's a pain to fit on the pitch.

That's a nice looking figure!

Is that a 20mm square base that he's standing on?

No, it's a hex base the figure originally came with. Fits on a 30mm base.

Yep, sadly Hordes minis are just to effing big, especially as I can get them a lot easier.

I use one of the GW Yethis with my Norse:

I made this guy from the Reaper Sasquatch:

...don't know if it gets used though, as it was for a figure exchange!

The Gaspez Yeti is awesome

But there we surely are talking one large miniature, strange since the team itself is hardly oversized.

Rolljordan is ready to ship to pledgers real soon so there is one to look forward to.

Very interesting thread!

I'm using the Reaper Yeti, still waiting for transformation (shoulder pads and stuff), but I'm having hard times looking for a similar yeti to be used as Icepelt...

Right now I'm waiting for the Rolljordan's one, hoping that it will fit properly... If not, I'll look for the Wargods Wendigos, that I really like:

Image

But two of my favorite Yetis are Sasquatch that Pedro Ramos did a long time ago:

and the Sasquatch from Spellcrow Miniatures:

Image

Unfortunately, the first one is not available and the second one is too big (6 cm to the top of the head) :(
