GalakStarscraper wrote:To be clear to Be4ch ... I like the theme you went with. I was just offering up a translation of what his stats were in 1st edition to the CRP edition as closely as it could be done. So was not going for theme at all ... just point A to point B. Used the same method when I turned the 2nd Ed Slann rules into the CRP Slann team. A nod to history. I do see your skills definitely for theme if it was a brand new star. My only comment would be that -1 AG on a blocker to get a 30k discount is something we really tried to avoid. So if I was looking at your build at a minimum I would go back to AG 3 and a 210k price to avoid what we called "artificial blocker discounting" when we were working on the CRP rules.
Just one final question Tom

I did a little searching the web regarding conversion from old stuff to newer editions

Came across this you had written for a "Wild Cards" idea

Obese: Player grows very large and fat. Player gains +1 ST, +2 AV, -2 MA, -1 AG, and Juggernaut. Player also gains the trait Obese (may never Go For It).

Would the Obese trait (may never Go For It) still be applicable for the CRP version???

Interesting to note you had included "Juggernaut" skill in this conversion of the Obese mutation

I'm going to go rogue here and say, is that star not too good? Every skill is basically killstack, and he has zero bloat. I'm trying to think of another star with no situational (to something other than their core function)... even my favourites - lewdgrip, puggy, eldril have tents, nerves and pass block.

Add to that, only two stars have tackle out of the current line-up (Zzharg has SW and no block, the other is prince Moron), so adding another so finely tuned is a pretty big deal.

I guess what I'm getting at is, maybe swap block for juggs?

Also, add always hungry for free. No in-game effect, but nicely thematic :P

As for casting ... IF Lecter1972 wanted more than a few of these to be out there .... happy to add him to our resin star player line that is slowly expanding.

Tom
Thanks for the offer Tom

I have placed an order to have it cast up in metal, if demand exceeds this casting run I will certainly discuss this option of working with you and Impact and adding it to your resin star player line
Go on, do the deal with impact anyway and your mini will endure for posterity :) I'd be interested depending on price and UK postage. Well done for your initiative.

Some would argue the AG 3 on an MA 4 player is bloat. I would be one of them. It adds in extra cost to him by not dropping it to AG 2. Prices need tested ... it might be too low.

Different version of Obese ... if I remember correctly that was my attempt to translate the 2nd Edition version of Obese. Which was different in description to the 1st edition version that Glart was based on.

Just chiming in to point out that Meiko has another linerat inspired on the second edition fat rat, in case not enough copies are produced and you're left without one.

I have the Meiko "Fat" LineRat and I am hoping he will look positively anorexic against "Fat" Brainsmasher

Nobody will be left without one, if I cannot meet demand I will discuss with Tom having Impact cast it for their resin/plastic star player range

Just so you know ... there would be no charge for us to put it into the resin star line. Just wanted to mention this. Could also discuss a commission on any sales to help you fund having the figure made.

Good luck with the project!

Yep, quite right, my apologies, there is that. Still, I wonder if block out for juggs would be a good move.
