Rolljordan Norse team boxart painted on commission! SNOW TIP

Post by axia »

Hi guys! This time I'm proud to show you one of the most funny teams that I've painted: the new Rolljordan Norse team! The sculpt is so well made that the minis almost paint by themselves! And what amazing sculpts! I think that the yeti and the stars are really incredible, something uncommon and innovative! And another great quality, only 5 pieces to glue! Yes! really time saving! Hope you like them, enjoy the pics, there are 5 new ones to see more details and of course comments and critics are welcome!
Cheers!

Looks fantastic as always!

What did you do for the snow effect on the bases?

Hi! Thank you! The snow effect is:

vinavil plus white paint plus bicarbonate plus a little drop of water! For Gaming minis, this is the best way! Cheap replaceable and fast! The white assures that the bicarbonate will not become yellowish and you can achieve different types of snow (fresh, old, compact or not) only changing the amount of the components! Hope it can help!

Drop bicarbonate, use microballoons. No yellowing ever, they are tiny glass spheres.

But comes at higher price they are not suitable to play and are harmful if inhaled ;) I use them but not when I do a big amount of gaming models and after 6 years no yellow is present!

The LD/50 for Bicarbonate of Soda in rats is 4220 mg/kg. You should be okay :)

ahahhah obviously if you se like cocaine no :D Nut the microspheres are highly volatile, or at least the prochima one, that is the best one on the market! And remains the main issue: for almost the same effect (on the tabletop you can't distinuish them) the bicarbonate mix will endure far more the rough hands of hard players during an hard match :D
