Block!!!

Post by The Octagonecologyst »

As I have been debating some with friends of mine about the effects of the block skill... I here have a question...

Does a player with the block skill get to re-roll a failed block? If this is true, where in the rulebook does it say that the skill works so? Or does the skill only affect the result rolled (ie the both down side)???

Thanks... :o

The block skill does NOT allow the player to reroll a failed block. If you want to do that you have to use a team reroll.

The block skill only affects the blocking dice result (both down) as you mentioned

The block skill only stops your player from being knocked down when you roll both down on the block dice.

It does NOT allow you to reroll anything.
Thats what team-rerolls are for.

Whoever has told you that is either trying too cheat or has never read the block skill rule as it is very clear!

:-? Eh...it sounds like Pro. Only it succeeds all the time and it has a much more limited usage. So I'd consider it pretty near the equivalent of Pro...

:o :o :o
Very limited indeed! Just a reliable RR for the most important dice roll in the game. Would be a must on any blocker actually (quite contrary to Pro, which is almost exclusively used by Big Guys as far as I can see).
And Throwers, Catchers, Dodgers can reroll their passes, catches and dodges anyway. Pro is far more limited since it is absolutely unreliable.

Yes, you can reroll the block dice. In fact, you can keep rerolling them until you get all Pows.

It also magically replaces lost hair.

And restores mileage on your car.

And cooks your dinner.

And turns Zombie into a fun-loving Hippie who wants nothing more than to please everyone and dash through fields of daisies...

...oh wait, that last part is already true
