I love the idea for the beast!
Just imagining a horde of those little critters rolling over an unsuspecting victim... Awesome!

any chance you could to a photo with your age of sigmar next to a regular blood bowl player. I am looking at doing a chaos team but I fear these guys are very big and may look more than a strength 4 miniature.

Apparently I'm awful at photos, but I hope this is useful!fire olli wrote:any chance you could to a photo with your age of sigmar next to a regular blood bowl player. I am looking at doing a chaos team but I fear these guys are very big and may look more than a strength 4 miniature.

Update time! With my new airbrush arrived, I can finally get to painting. Spent about an hour, mabye an hour and a half getting a good undercoat on the team. Did a touch of airbrush highlighting, then applied a liberal coating of Typhus Corrosion all over the warriors.
While that was drying, I've been painting the Beast. So many teeth, eyes, tongues, warts and wounds!

Big guys!

Thank you all for the kind words!
Next installment is a small one, just an update on the painting.
The beast is doing well, given him a few washes. Just need to finish the tentacles and add a bit of Nurgle's Rot to him to finish I reckon:

I wasn't really sure where I was going with this pestigor. I hope I can salvage him! I don't like how he's looking at the moment. I started too dark and tried to overcompensate I think.

In other news, I'm in love with the Typhus Corrosion and Ryza Rust combination. It's delicious. I'm really happy with how these guys are coming along.

Group shot! Smile, lads!

Re: Age of Sigmar conversion team
Update time!
Firstly, I've deigned to go with the AoS Rotters of Nurgle as the teams, well, rotters of nurgle. I had £30 burning my pocket in my local FLGS and thought, hey, why not. So I'll save the ghouls for some other nefarious purpose...
Here they are all built and undercoated.

Secondly, I've finished my first pestigor. Here he is! I'm not sure what it is, but I can't seem to take good photos today. I can't seem to get them bright enough, so have broken one of the rules of mini shooting and used the flash. Nuegrh.

Thirdly, I've also finished the Beast!
Also, I've more or less finished the four warriors. I can't decide whether to slime them up at all... What do you think? Leave them as they are or give them a liberal helping of slime?

Whole team shot!

Re: Age of Sigmar conversion team
Bit more progress now. Undercoated the rotters and have painted one:

I tell you what, painting pus covered warts and wounds is actually a lot of fun!
I've also pretty much finished the second pestigor:

The only problem I'm anticipating now is how to number them. The bases are a bit small to paint them on the front rim, and there isn't an obvious place on each model that I can paint one. Hm, I'll think of something (but I'm open to suggestions!)

Maybe if you'll put a small stone on each base and paint the number on that?

Re: Age of Sigmar conversion team
Final update! I've finished! Finito! Well, almost. Should probably varnish them... But still.
So, I've finished the last of the pestigors and rotters. I painted eight rotters in the end! I can't see myself using a full eight that often, but you never know.
I elected to go for roman numerals on the bases. They're not perfect at all, but they're legible, and so long as people can read them I'm not too bothered.
Here are a select few photos of the team. The whole album of 60 odd pictures I took this morning can be found here: linky linky

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.
Overall, I'm really pleased with how they came out. Sure they're not perfect, but that's ok. They're mine
Now, does anyone know how to play Nurgle?

I'm a British Freebooter, will play for any team including Undead (I have my own Apothecary). Good rates.

Long time no speak!
I'm reviving this thread because although I thought I was finished with the team, the team was not finished with me...
I'm off to Gert this weekend and I'm taking a stupid list that includes Max Spleenripper. I didn't have a Max model, so it's a bit of a rush job, but...
