A "Pure" Orc Team

Post by bluetooth »

I have decided to manage a Orc Team - decided not to take any big guys or goblins at first. What would be a good starting (pure) Orc Team?

...maybe..?

3 x blocker
3 x blitzer
1 x thrower
4 x lineman
1 x apothecary
2 rr
8 ff

...or..?

3 x blocker
3 x blitzer
1 x thrower
5 x lineman
2 rr
8 ff

...what about..?

3 x blocker
3 x blitzer
1 x thrower
5 x lineman
1 x apothecary
2 rr
3 ff

What do you think? I'm happy with 2 rerolls.

Personally I'd start with 11 players and 3 RR, dropping one line orc from the second roster. (I assume you don't want to use Goblins and Ogres)

Those constraints and I'd be tempted by

5 Line orc
1 Thrower
3 BOBs
2 Blitzers
9 FF
3 TRR

leaves 10k towards the apoth after the 1st game.

Go with 9 FF and 3 rerolls. You don't need an apoth to start (almost all your players have AV9) and 11 players is enough for starters (for the same reason).

You can't buy FF later and rerolls cost double, so it's always best to max out on those at first.

Personally, i start my orc teams with 9 FF and 4 RR!

Since you're saying no to 40k gobbos, you can't have 4 RR and 9 FF, so i'd suggest this :

2 throwers
3 black orcs
2 blitzers
4 lineorcs
8 FF
3 RR

Well my opinion is to always take 3 RR, 8-9 FF, 4 BoBs and a Troll, as you dont want the troll you can take a Blitzer instead.

This is how i usually start orcs :

2 Throwers
4 BOBs / Blitzers (a mix of both, depending on mood)
4 Goblins
1 Lineorc
4 RR
9 FF

First buy is obviously an apothecary. Then it's blitzers and BOBs, with an ogre whenever i have enough money in the bank.

Our orc coach started=

4 Bob's
4 Blitxers
3 Lineorcs
3 re-Rolls
3 FF

He is top of the league and has a FF of 11 now!

My choice would be to go with Ian's lineup.

I started with:

3 Black Orc's
3 Blitzers
4 Lineorcs
1 Thrower
3 Re-Rolls
7 Fan Factor

Works out well, I would like FF9, but the 7 hasn't hurt me yet, though its the lowest I would go for a league team starting.

I started my team with
4 Blitzers
4 Black Orcs
3 Lineorcs
1 Thrower
2 Rerolls
2 Fan factor.
(I think that's right).

I'm doing OK considering my team has mostly been playing against much more experienced teams, though I had a bit of a nightmare against an undead team with two AG4 Ghouls last time out.
I HATE playing against Undead.

U should try playing against my necros in mbbl, i have yet to get any decent results out of undead. I just cant seem to get the hang of them.
