interested in those FF female dwarves beeing realesed?
Hello,
some people around may remember those from years ago, I had sculpted those fantasy female dwarves for someone who then vanished from the surface of earth.
I had a few copies made along some other sculpts but I wonder if it would be worth making a production mold and releasing them properly, or completing the team with a few more players (conversions or new sculpts).
so here is a pool for you!
more pictures here: http://sylvainquirion.perso.neuf.fr/sit ... naines.htm
also I have this FF alien too, not making a separate pool but I'm interested in your opinions too
more pics: http://sylvainquirion.perso.neuf.fr/sit ... /alien.htm
thanks,
Sylvain

I have all the Shadow Forge teams except the Dwarves and the orcs.
IMHO, the orcs are complete garbage. Don't know what the sculpter was thinking.
But the dwarves are very cool. Right now, I am going over my teams and "filling them out". When I get through with that, I will buy the SF Dwarves. I really like them.
As to other designers making female dwarves, I mostlikely won't buy them. There are just too many other teams out there. I just won't waste money on them.
Edit to ad: The alien looks great! Thats what Blood Bowl/Fantasy Football needs! New ideas. this looks awesome!

I'm interested in a Female dwarf team, but those minis unfortunately look too "willowy" for me. :/
I'm more into the more robust, thicker dwarf models... one of my favorites is this one (not my painting, just the example) from Reaper:

Give me a team of these healthy lasses, and I'll get them ASAP.

Re: interested in those FF female dwarves beeing realesed?
thanks for the feedback
looks like they don't get much interest, but if someone want some castings just get in touch in private.
not realy going to sculpt a new female dwarf team in a different style, tbh I wouldn't have sculpted those in the first place if I hadn't be asked to (and would eventualy have gone for a different design)
I may do a few variants at some point, which may be more robust or thicker, that's a valid point for dwarves, but that won't be a priority tbh, I have many others things to sculpt
I've been considering foing a full alien team at some point, I have a few ideas, we'll see if I find time for that!

What I want is naked shaved dwarves in chains. I have this dream that I can do a Chaos Dwarf team where the hobs are captured dwarves, shaved and daubed with green paint. I realise this is a bit niche

What, dare I ask, do you have in mind for the chaos dwarfs? Armoured hobs?Heff wrote:What I want is naked shaved dwarves in chains. I have this dream that I can do a Chaos Dwarf team where the hobs are captured dwarves, shaved and daubed with green paint. I realise this is a bit niche
Because that would be epic.

Love the alien - would make a great alternative to Slann.

I was thinking goblin or halfeling team for the alien, but slaan or lizardmen (skink) could make sense as well
and no, I'm not ging to sculpt naked shaved dwarves! (well, depends what you'd pay actually )
I think some companies may sell dollies you could use for that, or maybe the latest GW plastic dwarves with some conversion, some of them look naked under their beards

Sylvain is a sculpting hero. Do proper game of thrones style brettonians with comedy fat and stupid peasants. Not that fussed by yet more dwarfs. Aliens will be a bit niche.

Hi Sylvain,
If it weren't for Rolljordan planning to offer some halflings in the next 6? months; I would love to see a continuation of the halflings range you made for Neomics. Same style as the goblins; funny, fat, skinny, strong, eating etc.
Maybe Rolljordan could just hire you to make a perfect halfling team
(I'm broke, can only afford 2-3 kickstarters a month; or I would have hired you myself
Same idea, but in Bretonnian-flavour could be an option; I think you would've nailed it.
(But I guess we need to see if Bretonnian will be a part of the upcoming Blood Bowl resurrection first.

Had not got that far but yes it would be epic.Shteve0 wrote:What, dare I ask, do you have in mind for the chaos dwarfs? Armoured hobs?Heff wrote:What I want is naked shaved dwarves in chains. Re: interested in those FF female dwarves beeing realesed?
thanks stompie!
tbh I'm not realy looking for FF ideas to sculpt, I suspect the market is a bit overcrowded for a relatively niche market. I was considering those ones because I already have the sculpts but not sure sculpting more would be worth the effort comparing to generic fantasy
I like your bretonian idea though! and I guess with some clever converting they could double as more generic fantasy
Brage: I was afraid you would ask for a fat female dwarf with a goatee
actually I had started a few more halfelings but couldn't get in touch with neomic's new owner

Re: interested in those FF female dwarves beeing realesed?
Sylvain,
Of course; in Tolkien, the female dwarfs all have beards!
I remember you had at least one halfling, with a snack, sculpted. I bought some stuff from Neomics/Gaspez Arts two months ago; it was quickly delivered. But I haven't seen any new miniatures from them in ages, so I guess they're just sitting still
He's on Facebook, Gaspez Arts and/or Neomics if you'd like to talk to heim. But they don't seem to be expanding anymore.
Wish I could fund them, but my billionaire days are over
