Does a failed bonehead carries over to the next drive?
Just picked this up at the official BB forum. A guy said that he dislikes it when his Ogre fails its bonehead roll, loses its TZ and then the drive ends. So he has to set up him and he has still no TZ bc. in the rules it's written that you recover from bonehead only when you roll a 2+ for your next action.
The way he plays seems weird, but if you read the rules that is the way.
I'm confused as I naturally (and everyone I know) assumed that the effect ends when a new kick-off is made...

I don't know. The rule book says he loses his tackle zone until he manages to roll something other than a one at the start of an action. It doesn't say he regains it at the end of a drive.
That said, I have always played it that he regains it. It just makes more sense. BBRC needs to fix this.

I'd say that during the next kickoff setup your coach/assistant coach/another player/or even a fan would rush the field and slap the guy to pay attention.
Seriously though, I'd say that they would have a TZ at the start of any kickoff drive...they have to be moved into position for the next kickoff anyway, right? So with that thinking, they wouldn't be under the bonehead influence, right?

The end-zone “line of death” does not discriminate when one tempts fate by using a “go for it” to pass over it.

Well, if that were the case, I'd try using this defense for the time being:
On page 16 of the LRB:
"RESTARTING THE MATCH
After a touchdown has been scored, and at the start of the second half, play is restarted and the match continues. Before the kick-off however each coach should roll one dice for each KO’d player on his team. On a roll of 4, 5 or 6 the player is fit enough to return to play, but on any other result they must stay in the KO’d box in the Dugout.
Both coaches may then set up any fit players just as they did at the start of the game."
None of the negative skills are considered injuries, so any player suffering from a negative skill at the end of a drive would be considered "fit" and would be allowed to be set up and used normally until they failed their negative skill again.

If somebody pulls that crap, just kick 'em in the nuts. They won't try it again.

kick them in the nuts; the only way to go in this case...
(Though hitting them on the head real hard might give a better long-term tactical advantage, this option should also be considered)

Most coaches are very hard headed, make sure that if u exercise this method to use a very solid object.Though hitting them on the head real hard might give a better long-term tactical advantage, this option should also be considered)

Hmm, you could be right there. Maybe I should try that sometime.
