Muscle Team
Hi, i'm wanting a muscle team (slow, strong) as an alternative to my Skaven.
Quite fancied Undead but i hear they're having a revamp. Leaning towards Dwarfs but just read the latest mag and Chaos Dwarfs seem interesting. Not bothered about a ChaosKhemri team. Choices, choices.
Any thoughts? What are the relative strengths/weaknesses of the other muscle teams?

Yep, If you want under-prized heavy hitters with the best overall AV, take Orcs...
Can't argue (logically) with that...

I've played both orcs and dwarfs and the orcs did turn out to make more casualties (though I thought the dwarves would).
But if you are in for a challenge take chaos. Very hard to start but once they get those killer mutations rolling, whoopeedoo, casualties come by the minute!

All right, dwarfs just suck!
They are even slower than orcs, have less armour, are less agile. Ok, they have a few more skills, but who cares?
In 16 games my Kneecap Naggers managed a total of 10 (!) casualties. Even our high elves coach had more!!! In fact the only teams in our whole playing group with less cas is my other team, a bunch of girly woodies and an extremely unlucky amazon team.
Orcz be just cool, they no care 'bout grammar, fart in public places and geez they know how to have fun with just a few pieces of rock (especially if they have an elf or something in range).
That should clearly qualify orcs don't you think?

I know that sucks; Dutch Open I played my first match with Dwarfs against Wood Elves, and I managed to do 5 cas, but got 4 in return. Those were the only cas I managed to do in the entire tournament, even though other matches were against Skaven, High Elves, Humies and Orcs...
I did get cas in return though

Ok, ya talked me into it
Orcs it is then. Been out and bought an Ogre, Black-Orcs (x2), Blitzers(x2) and a gobbo to add to the basic set. It's clobberin' time
Thanks guys

*raises hand for the Chaos Dwarfs*
it's a great team to play, however, they are not slow and not sooooo hard hitting (8-9 AV9 players, rest AV7). But quite cheap and the Hobgobs make great dirty players if you want to go for heavy hitting.
My Chaos Dwarfs lead the league in Casulties (2,7 per game) and also suffered the least (0.2 per game). We count all game cas for this stats (incl. those from fouls, crowd and failed dodges and gfis). They also lead the scoring stats, but that's plain luck and due to the absense of AG teams (Other teams: human, orc, norse, lizards).

Orcs are good and have lots of strength, but their relative low movement really hampers them in the long term. I'd go for Chaos Dwarves if I wanted to really push people around out there.

Chaos Dwarfs
@Tim, that team is really insanely lucky so far. I am still waiting for one of those cows (aka bull centaurs) to stumble and break it neck
Still, generally a very fun alternative to orks, though I really love them. Four Black Orks and an Ogre make fun LOS and then add four Blitzers and a thrower and think about either fielding a gobbo or a linemen with some skills. Fun to develop I think.
And get some decent dice.
