Gumbledook,
Actually there shouldn't be any problems at all with being charged for this. It could be a donation etc and it wouldn't intrude on Games Workshop at all. Afterall you are supposed to own a copy of BloodBowl the Boardgame before you play the Java BloodBowl version. So he's covered from a legal aspect. But still I'd quite happily give some dollars/pounds towards it. One of the games around in my opinion.

Fixes Pass Block. 2 interceptions and another turnover for my Blodging-Catching-NoS-Leapin'-Pass-Blockin' Lion Warrior in my first game with the new version.
When I say, "Thanks, Ski," I really mean,
THANKS SKI!!!!!

I am digging this one up from page 16. "Nuffle's Grace" was apparently added but, some other stats would be fun as well. Especcially since Christer has added Top 10 lists, Hall of Fame, and now Team Progression stats for Teams on Fumbbl. So I will answer some of the questions, just for the sake of someone answering the questions.
Also Passing. Yes. No.
In depth: Only "North" movement (or right of the screen) of the ball counts for Stats. Any time you move in that direction it counts towards stats. EXCEPT, when a team moves the ball back themselves.
How I think this can be implemented: Have the Client remember which column Team A took possesion of the ball in, name the location "farthest advanced" or some such. Team A only gets stats when they go past that Column, as long as Team B does not gain possesion of the ball. The new "farthest advanced" column is now placed in the memory location. If Team B gains possession, then "farthest advanced" resets, but stats earned remains. If team A drops the ball, but Team B does not retrieve it, "farthest advanced" stays the same.
Most of the other Stats worth recording already earn SPP's but some good ones (for fumbbl at least) would also be: fouls attempted, forced ball turnovers (by player), and incomplete passes.
Of course, this would be low low priority, I was just filtering through the thread and saw that this was never discussed again.

Yes. No. Nothing. Nothing. Can be re-earned, or No (No, would be easiest, re-earned may be a pain). No. Yes it can get quite complicated.SkiJunkie wrote:Stat recording:
"I know its not important but some people like stats, could it be done"
Well that depends on how you want the stats. Do you only count rushing yards if they are running towards the opponent endzone? Does running away from it subtract from total rushing? What about if you run parallel to an endzone? Run in a circle? Pushed? If you fumble does that subtract your last move? It can get quite complicated.
And passing yards? Is that just airtime for the ball? Or does the immediate running action get counted towards that as well?

Re: 5.2b
5.2ca is available at the alternate location:
http://witwat.net/luke/javabbowl
5.2ca??? It's a mac-only update that put in some new key commands to allow full access to the (previously Windows only) right-click functions. Right-clicking still doesn't work (yes, even with a 2 button mouse, smart-arse!), but you have access to all the same options through keyboard shortcuts.
I updated the README to include all the shortcuts. We can finally save team setups! Thanks again to SkiJunkie and Jerome, a French fan that brought this to his attention.

Okay, just for you.Ski, still no time to update DungeonBowl? Just curious...

I did update dbowl over the Christmas holidays. So it has been updated, and is sorta out of date already.

I never put it up because I have not even had time to see if it works at least as good as the last preview.
So, I just put it up anyway.
There is a dungeon bowl preview 1.1 available now. Still no network but it has almost everything bbowl had in december.
Enjoy.

There is a new 5.3 patch on the same download page as the original game download.
Main:
http://www.geocities.com/javabbowl/
Mirror:
http://javabbowl.no-ip.org/
The 5.3 patch adds bug fixes and a few cosmetic additions.
Download the "patch5_3.zip". Unzip the contents to the original install directory. It will overwrite the "bbowl.jar", "readme.txt" files.
