i was wondering if this woodelf team is legal. any tips or changes would also be good
2 linemen-140,000 gp
3 catchers- 270,000 gp
2 throwers- 180,000 gp
2 wardancers- 240,000 gp
3 reroll counters 150,000
------------------------------
970,000 gp
that is all i could afford with out going over the 1,000,000 gp price limit.

It's a legal team, but you only have 9 players. That is going to hurt you going up against anyone. Look at dropping one or both of your throwers and possibly 1 or 2 catchers. With everyone at AG4 you can have you lineelfs throw the ball with fairly good success and spread your SPP's aorund for the first few games. You might not have a reroll skill but if your player is in the open you are rolling at 2+ (for quick passes)and catching at 2+ for an accurate pass. And having just regular lineelfs as you throwers you can stragically thrower the a ball from any part of the field and your opp. will have to spread their defense around to cover whoever maybe able to throw the ball. Then buy a thrower later when you save up some money, to get access to the passing skills. If you roll Doubles on a lineelf and would like to turn him into a passer, then take accurate (+1 to pass rolls).
I play my Dark Elves in a legaue for 10 games without a passer and did really well with my passing attack.
Hope that helps

HMMMM... that would differently work. as me being a newbie and all i should probaly listen to somebody else with more experience. What i was think to do was send my two catchers straight down the wide spread with their MA 9! and then just pass down to either player that is open.
thanks for the change

You have to have 11 players at the start.
The standard WE starting line up for a league is
1 War Dancer
10 Line Elves
2 TRR
8 FF
Buy an apoth after the 1st game. Then buy the 2nd WD.
The advantage of this setup is that your line elves get skilled quite quickly.

Also remember that you don't need throwers or catchers early on. Your line-elves have high AG so are pretty decent throwers while they also have high MA so can run fast enough to act as catcher types.
Practice the pick-up, move, hand-off, move, quick pass (3 squares), move routine. That enables you to move the ball approaching 24 squares in one turn... i.e., from one end of the pitch to the other and only needs you to pass 2+ dice rolls.
